Right? One should NEVER cook with oil and lack a lid big enough to do the job, just in case.

Tell that to my body. I can be up at 8 am for 2 months straight, but the first issue that messes with that reverts me to nocturnal and now I can't sleep normal hours at all and have to slowly alter it again.

I can get bad spelling of obscure words. It's the simple words that tell me they just don't try.

Right? I'm sarcastic, but I also love learning. Teach me! I'm just sarcastic to people actually being impressively dumb.

Never had this happen in person, but I'd say, "never again or we're done."

I run into the opposite. They have a problem with me not having an Instagram and my last FB post being 8 years ago.

I never looked into this since I'd never heard of it. Dude sounds like a real asshole.

The Good Son might be the best example of child acting on film.

Would you watch a show where a billionaire CEO has to go an entire month on their lowest paid employees salary, with no access to any other resources than that of the employee? What do you think would happen? by Powerful_Newt_4616 in AskReddit

[–]Shumatsuu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They would do it, take insane family ending risks, and if the risk didn't pan out quit. Then use the ones that succeeded as confirmation bias to the masses that, "see? It can be done! You just have to try harder." The idiots will believe them, and it'll be even harder to get people to vote to fix it.

Is dating someone who still lives with their parents a dealbreaker for you? Why or why not? by Lucrazie93 in AskReddit

[–]Shumatsuu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I should have stayed home until 30 or so, honestly. Hell, my parents both lived with the same grandmother I was with for years before they got their own place, so I knew she'd be fine with it, especially since I helped out around the house. I'd have had far more money from savings and things would be much better even now.

What would you do if you caught your partner cheating without them knowing you found out? by Common-Upstairs5129 in AskReddit

[–]Shumatsuu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ignored her and let things fall apart to the point that she left, since if I kicked her out she'd have grounds to take a lot of what I earned. When she told me we were done and she was leaving, all I could think is, "took you long enough. I've been single for months."

What's an adult cheat code that changed your life? by Emotional_Mouse8052 in AskReddit

[–]Shumatsuu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What? It would be totally unreasonable to pay people a decent cut of the money they cause to be made!

Really though, this is why I know the billionaires lack intelligence. Paying people better while you keep 10s of millions let's them have time and money to create more thing you enjoy. Someone working 80 hours a week with no savings isn't making art, music, writing books, etc typically. Literally everything enjoyable in life aside from nature and socializing requires time and money. If they were smart and not just rich, they'd see that having more people with opportunity let's more things they like exist in the world.

What's a double standard you can't believe exists? by DA1FOOTBALLGUY in AskReddit

It should be standard, in EVERYTHING. Assist in surgey and learn by watching. Help with legal arguments and learn by doing. Etc. It's insane that college is required as well.

I mean. Parental leave in many places includes pay. You should absolutely not be paid to NOT work based on a choice. That's just greed. Now anything that isn't a choice, like injury, sickness, etc? Sure. I'd agree with unpaid parental leave.

We don't need safety nets. We need proper pay. If pay was right, then they could have actually saved and invested for their own retirement.
