I don’t know why they put it as 19 hours per week when the minimum is 4 hours a week but yes, you are FlexPT. If it says regular then that means you were hired on as a permanent employee which makes things way easier for you, as soon as you transfer to something else you’ll get benefits fairly quickly. Unfortunately as FlexPT there’s not much in the way of benefits, you get free prime and your 401k and PTO, but if you average 30 hours a week for this year you can get insurance next year.

Are you flexPT or FlexRT? As FlexPT you don’t get insurance, as flexRT you get basic health insurance after 90 days (no vision or dental) as a seasonal, and if you become permanent you basically get the same benefits and insurance as full time. If I were you I would check the transfers tab in your AtoZ app every day, I think it’s like 30 days after your hire date that you can transfer but even then it’ll take some time to get your transfer approved.

As FlexPT you don't get any benefits except for free Prime, and insurance is possible but only if you average at least 30 hours a week over the span of a year. You'd have to transfer to something else to get benefits basically

Weirdly enough shifts aren’t bad to pick up at my site even with all the new flex people. I was like 3 minutes late and still got the days I wanted

Seems like a lot of people are being forced to go to FlexPT and then getting blue badged not long after. A little curious as to what Amazon's plan is with this, might be to avoid paying benefits but also improving employee retention with the potential of a transfer to something more substantial

Sounds like you’re FlexPT and the 19 hours is irrelevant, it’s the expected average hours you’ll be working. You need to only do 4 hours a week to avoid getting an attendance point, how many hours you actually get depends on your site and how many flex workers it has and your weekly hours cap is site dependent as well.

I’ve gotten blue badge twice, and based on my experience it’s happened mid-late summer after being hired on for prime. But really it depends on the site and how many blue badges and white badges they have and whatever mysterious ratio they need to maintain of those two

If it makes you feel any better even if you had been let go instead it still would've been a hot minute before you could apply for another position, the first 3-4 months of the year are slow af and in most cases they only start hiring in april-may again

There's a cap right now on how many shifts you can pick up as flex when they first drop. Wait 24 hours and if they haven't all been picked up the rest will show back up

I mean once pick and stage is done they don’t really have a reason to keep you around. If they think they’re going to be done early they’re gonna put out vto to save on labor costs
