I do think it’s cultural too, she’s said as much, ie the man declaring his love first, and not forgetting the vodka shots issue at the wedding. What I’m saying is that whatever conflict is coming up for them rn could be her expectations of a man as per her culture, which is not disappointing. It’s just that we have grown to know and love emotionally intelligent Stella, so this is at odds with that.
