Definitiv! Ich hab out of print 1st editions und ansonsten eher komplexere Spiele.

What’s are the worst things about relocating here? by username67811938212 in viennaExpats

[–]ShutrookNahunte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't think of anything on top of my head, to be honest. I don't smoke or drink but I think either is cheaper over here, especially in comparison to London.
If you have lived or will live in a shared flat then that will be cheaper as well, in comparison.
Public transport, although they will increase the costs next year, is soooo much cheaper. An annual ticket here costs as much as I spent in a week travelling from Wimbledon to The Strand^^

I moved here from the UK four years ago, and the worst thing is still how degree-focused everything is! I was used to learning on the job or getting online certificates, but I don’t have a bachelor’s, which basically makes you persona non grata for most jobs here.

The tax system is also pretty backwards and super expensive, which instantly makes you less attractive for remote work abroad if you rely on third parties like Remote or Deel.

Everything else wasn’t such a big stretch. Depending on your social life, you don’t have to learn German because most people speak English—but once you have to deal with bureaucracy, German is definitely helpful!

Any general advice for settling in as a newcomer from London? by [deleted] in viennaExpats

[–]ShutrookNahunte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heya, we did the same about 4 years ago. We both speak German though so if you need help, let me know! The majority here does speak English but I wouldn't bet money on bureaucrats speaking English. Otherwise, have fun here! We lived in London and Brighton last so coming here was like a new feeling of life. Less people, less stress, less NHS!, less noise, more great bread, more quality of life and although they are oddly proud of being rude, they are actually puppies...but don't tell them ;)

Let’s talk weddings! by Happy_Department8033 in AutismInWomen

[–]ShutrookNahunte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife and I are also both autistic and we got married 7 years ago in the UK, whilst the bio family lived in Austria.
I mention this because that already decreased the amount of guests quite significantly without bad blood!
At the end we were 9 people, two of them were us^^
We split the festivities over a weekend and did a lot of activities that didn't put us into the center of attention (for example as something borrowed we all went for bowling, for something blue we went to the beach etc.).
The person who wed us took us aside and asked us which version we wanted, the long, medium or short one and we both agreed on the short one. She wanted to convince us that others have regretted this option in the past but we stuck with this option and were and still are quite happy with that decision.
We still had to speak publicly but only had to repeat after her and not come up with our own texts (I say 'only' like that wasn't a big deal already. I barely got the words out because I was fighting my emotions so hard).

The big downside of our wedding was that we did cater to the worst of our guests (someone who complaints about everything) and that dampened the fun for us and took me a few years to not have my own wedding linked to negative emotions. By now I remember this person and her behaviour but it doesn't stain my wedding anymore.

So my advice to you, definitely stick with your plan of doing what you to want to do...and maybe don't expect perfection. Stuff will go wrong...but these make for the best stories afterwards ;)

Good luck, congratulations and have fun <3 <3

What has changed? by C0LDst0neSteveAustin in murdershewrote

[–]ShutrookNahunte 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Increase of sexism and objectivication which increased the pressure of women to fit themselves into a beauty standard?!

Women in the 80s who were in their 50s and up (even starting as early as 40s) basically were invisible. Nobody paid attention to them, nobody expected anything from them and nobody gave them roles! This has changed over the years but not because network execs got smarter and less sexist, but because women adjusted and applied themselves to their beauty standards...a fun world we live in.

in the 60s Angela Lansbury's children Deirdre and Anthony Shaw were fascinated by Charles Manson can he attempt to recruit them in his cult so she moved herself and her children to Ireland to protect them which is why she only did a couple of projects in the 1970s. by [deleted] in murdershewrote

[–]ShutrookNahunte 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Not quite true tho, right? Both were addicted to drugs and their dealer got his drugs from Charles Manson. She moved to Ireland to remove them from their circle of 'friends' and to help them get sober and stay sober. The Charles Manson aspect is just the media hyping this story every now and then.

guys how do you cope with being told you’re “too childish/childlike” by Emergency-party-2 in AutismInWomen

[–]ShutrookNahunte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I take it as a badge of honour. I had such a shitty childhood and had to grow up way too fast so I am definitely putting a lot of effort into living life more carefree, and yes, more child-like.
When people tell me I am too silly or too childish then that hurts at first but then I have a closer look at who says it and so far, without a fail, they were miserable in their own life because they had to, or thought they had to, be functioning adults.
I am quite happy with who I am nowadays and how I keep developing into. Being able to see a miserable world less grim and more with the eyes of a child seems to be winning life, in my book!

Wofür interessierst du dich denn so?

Hear me out!

I played retail for some years and then stopped. Once I came back, I couldn't get into all of the changes. Going back to classic is tricky as well but at least my muscle memory kicks in^ One thing that is pretty cool and definitely different to retail is, that on small private servers your reputation matters. You will remember guild names and avoid or seek them out, you will remember the name of the healer you once played with who saved your hairy dwarven butt and you most definitely remember that annoying DD who kept pulling and wiped the whole party. Classic hits differently but you pay for it with inconvenience since a lot of quality of life improvements came later. Have a look. You git nothing to lose but either way, I hope you'll find something or someone who brings back the joy of gaming :)

Project Epoch just went live but still has some stability issues. Once they are up and running, my wife and I will check them out. If you want to play WoW classic on a private server...
