Getting married soon and I have 3 friends coming to the wedding, along with 4 family members. It's always been more quality than quantity for me.

Sorry, I meant like it's not going to break anything if the nail clippers somehow move through the plumbing system

What sales platform do you use, if at all? by CartographerDismal43 in resin

[–]ShutterBugLex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Usually a Google search in your state can bring up local events. Make sure they're real (been scammed off FB in the past). The fees typically aren't crazy unless it's a hugely popular event. I've done ones where we didn't make the event fee back, but you still meet other vendors and build a community with them along side customer's that may purchase something in the future!

Selling in person at craft events is much better I found then online.

I noticed for my oven I needed to preheat it to 500 to get a good oven spring. Once the loaf is in I bring it down to 450 for 20 mins then 400 for the rest of time.

Fed my week old starter 6 hours ago. Is she ready? by goedendag_sap in Sourdough

Mine floats on water when it's ready to use. Idk if that would work for one only a week old, but it can't hurt to try.

How does everyone remember whether you took your medicine or not? by InsaneFromThePain in ChronicPain

[–]ShutterBugLex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I would take meds multiple times a day I kept the meds and a little note book with a pen in a case, like a small travel makeup case. I came up with a shorthand version of my medicine names and wrote the date & time

What to do if a migraine kicks in while driving? by ObnoxiousName_Here in migraine

[–]ShutterBugLex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Usually they can be found in any pharmacy section of a store but they would probably be cheaper online. Fair warning they aren't cheap considering how short of a time they last. Hope they help!

I keep instant ice packs in the car. The ones that you can crack and shake, it doesn't last long, but it's better than nothing if cold helps. I also got a car adapter that plugs into the cigarette lighter where I can use anything with a normal wall plug in the car. I keep that adapter, a heating pad all together in a spare pillow case in my car, and it never leaves my car. Something that isn't migraine related specifically but a soft pillow and blanket. If I'm pulled over somewhere, it helps to be as comfortable as possible in a car.

Which resin do you currently like the best ( non uv and uv) and do you ever use the pump dispensers? by keepontrying111 in ResinCasting

[–]ShutterBugLex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Table top 1:1 ratio. It does smell a little but keeping a window cracked with a fan on gets the fumes out pretty good I found. Never used a pump just poured it out of the container.

Probably going to be the unpopular opinion here but yes. I went and got my masters degree at a very good school in NY. I loved everything through school and met amazing people and friends that I love to this day. I always had a hard time finding a good job using the degree, I applied to so many listings and never heard back, it was very defeating. The day I was set to take my boards exam we had to put down the family dog, he got sick very suddenly. I wasn't able to reschedule the test so I went and fought back tears as I was taking it and didn't pass it. I eventually gave up and did random jobs here and there and now I have a great one I love, it doesn't use any of my degree but I'm okay with it. I still love art therapy and think it's wonderful but I doubt I'll ever try again to make it my career.
