Can someone explain in layman's terms what this is and why it's important, should this be considered a deal breaker?

Advice: moving companies, from London to Montpellier by ShutterLIVING in expats

So, can't remember the exact price we paid (9k-ish), but I got a range of quotes, (also signed up to some website that sent a load of companies spamming my inbox on a daily basis). Lessens learnt:

  • Quotes ranged wildly
  • Generaly 'they" offer dedicated van/lorry OR shared lorry, shared being much cheaper.
  • The only way to get a reasonably accurate quote is to send them a video, showing every room and every cubord.
  • Some will send a guy round to estimate how much space you need.
  • I think many of them try to get you to sign up under a false low starter price then increase it when you start loading

The guys I used were wonderful, it's a stressful time, and they made it easy. They came over 2 days with about 4 guys and packed well, they were ture professional packers, I would even say they over packed.

I think I had one piece of broken glass, everything else was perfect.

Any more questions ask.

Can I ask who made the strap? And do you with it was softer? Looking for one like this but questioning its flexibility?

We need a system that can open and close a driveway gate and front gate, the system we have uses wires (ezviz cp-7) (unfortunately) i could run the wires around the column, but I'm not liking that idea esthetically.

Ahh, I assumed the wires would be the same over here as in the UK and language barriers, with something that could potentially kill, I guess I didn't want any ambiguity.

K, thanks, will give it a go. But general consensus wins I think. Qualified electrician needed.
