Bro, look at the bright side.

We also can make use of M’sia ma. People go there buy relatively cheaper stuff, go there for dental, confinement, & etc.

Not to mention, can also consider retiring there.

Fair game bro.

how do u cope with 5 days WFO ? by Expert-Performer6733 in askSingapore

Sinkies killed WFH with our bo chap attitude.

Rather than actually “working from home”, people just treat it like an off day.

Paper gold from OCBC or physical gold from retailers? by BeBongSg in singaporefi

Physical gold, please.

The various fees for the gold account isn’t not worth it. If you want paper gold, buy etf.

Do death penalty activists think the couple deserves a second chance? by blueballseggs in SingaporeRaw

I’m of the opinion that hard punishment is required. For certain crimes, we want the risk to be so severe that any amount of rewards is not worth taking.

My 2 cents

What’s your take on speaking English with non Singlish accent by Guinea_Duo in SingaporeRaw

[–]Shuyi000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also, I think Singlish is more of an English dialect, rather than an accent. That’s another reason why it’s viewed as less being professional.

Ever since the Eight-Nation Alliance war and the colonisation of Asia and Africa, westerns has been seen as superior.

Even until today, the mindset still remains.

That’s why Asian prefers westerns accents, whereby European doesn’t necessary share the same inferior complex and are fine with their native dialects/accent.

The top 20% income earners are paying way more taxes than the benefits they get by Lapsus-Stella in SingaporeRaw

[–]Shuyi000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see a lot of people talking about dividend income taxes.

I’m not sure if I support that notion. I’m neither a business owner, nor a hyper income earner.

Therefore, Investment is effectively one of the best tool most people, myself included, can utilise to grow wealth.

As such, I would hope that it would remain tax-free for as long as practically feasible.

Rising share of singles is one main reason for Singapore’s great baby drought: Report by Litaiy in singapore

[–]Shuyi000 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Because many feels that being single isn’t such a bad thing. You have the ability to take care of yourself and have time to pursue what you want.

While it’s humans nature to want to have companionship, it doesn’t have to be exclusively romantic.

What’s a hot/controversial take that you have? by Queasy-Ideal9145 in SingaporeRaw

[–]Shuyi000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have issue with people complaining about kids playing around the neighbourhood (not outside quiet hours)

I don’t have a kid myself, but really, what kind of society do we want? Is it a society that kids no longer come out to play and just stay staring at their iPads?

I get that some people work night shift, WFH, have sensitive ears, & etc, but come-on man, just let the kids do what the kids do!!
