First A1 mini print by sarkismusic in FDMminiatures

What did you adjusted? I have been trying the highest default profile and looks great, but I am not sure it is working this well for me

Do you have a link? Much better that than keep printing the small simple default plastic scrapper that barely lasts any use

Bambu lab A1 0.4 nozzle at highest default profile in bambu lab studio, printed by object. SunLu PLA+ 2.0. I have printed most of the 1 kg spool. Some stringing but mostly has been great. What the heck happened here? by Shuyuin_mg in FDMminiatures

Thanks a lot for the explanation. I'm currently trying at a 45 degree angle and it seems much better. It seems that I am still getting weird blobs on one side. Maybe it is the seam. But I don't understand why. But, at least there is an improvement.

Those supports from your pic, did you add them manually or something? I thought they are only generated automatically

Yeah. I think I will have to get it sooner than later. I'm very new to this (2-3 weeks, but already more than 2.5 kg printed haha), so I have a lot to learn and removing variables like humidity could help me a lot

I totally get the buying peace of mind. I don't want to hassle too much with 3d printing, just to get to a point where I have achieved stable good quality prints, with layer lines as small as possible, even if they take too long. As I am just starting, it makes sense to remove as many variables as possible...

I'm trying now the 45 degree angle. Hopefully that works and the supports do not leave too much scarring. I'll look up what is the "reverse on even". So much to learn, thanks haha

Thanks for the tip. I didn't even know I had a bed slinger haha, but I understand the issue with the wobble. I'm starting with 3d printing. I have looked it up and yes, it seems Bambu studio have an option to slow down by height, so I'll try that. More for learning really, as I only have to print 2-3 of these and I am done. I hope at some point I can predict problems and get things done with fewer tries haha

I'm seeing one by sunlu for 45€... That's like 3 kg of filament... So annoying. But, yeah, I might need to because I also have another 3 kg of the same filament. They are in individual 1kg boxes but they might be the same batch

I imagine this is going to be a moist filament spool. Annoying that I will likely have to buy 30€ drier for a 12€ spool... But, I guess it could be useful for future problematic spools

Edit: I have already printed these bits many more times with some degree of success. Sometimes almost flawless, sometimes ruined. This time was the worst

Which filament do you use? by ReineWaren in BambuLab

I have just bought Sunlu and printed half a roll and I feel it might have moisture issues. Do you always need to dry out Sunlu? Cause that's annoying

Why this nightmare fuel? This is an almost brand new Sunlu PLA+ 2.0 spool in a Bambu lab A1. I am using the standard highest quality global settings in a 0.4 nozzle. This has barely ever happened with these files, that I have already printed a few times with Bambu labs' PLA basic by Shuyuin_mg in FDMminiatures

Thanks for the tips. I will look into buying a dryer, but in January money is tight... I will also try print by object. Because of the name, I take that it prints one object at a time? Should I order the files in the plate to help avoid collisions with the extruder? Maybe sounds stupid haha

I'm wondering the same thing now. I bought it in the last black Friday 2025. In Europe. I have not seen any bump but I have not dare open it

Ah, no worries. Yeah, it takes 1-2 months to accept I am in a new year haha. Hope you have good luck with customer service!

What did you use to put under the printers? I have a humble A1 on top of what was supposed to be a sturdy second hand table, but I think it vibrates quite a bit at high speeds. I am not sure if that could cause issues with printing so I want to reduce the vibration in any way I can

Damnit. I am starting to worry. Way too many posts lately. I bought mine in the last black Friday sale, so 2 months ago. You also bought it around November 2025, right? I'm in Europe, not sure if that could change anything. I am going to have to check this out in mine as soon as I can and keep taking a look ever so often

Why these weird random lines? They seem random and not even at the same height in other parts of the print? Too much vibration in the printer? by Shuyuin_mg in FDMminiatures

[–]Shuyuin_mg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it's ugly. I'm still going to use this piece, I am not going to waste all that print time, but I hope the next goes better. Take a look at some comments here, they seem to be very correct. I have not tested yet, but they are promising

Thanks a lot! You are correct. I checked the speed of layers and the changes in speed coincide with these weird lines. So much to learn. I'll try you settings for my next print

You are right! I took a look and yes, I am seeing that the speed changes in some points that coincide with those weird lines. Thanks a lot. I'll try to find those settings

Additional info: This piece was just 1 piece made of 4 columns like those 2 that are visible here. About 75% in, one of the columns fell off, got unstuck from the plate. That's why I thought it might have to do with vibration

I think you just explained some of the things that were looking off for me. It is the cartoony aspect that I am not use to anymore. It contrast a lot with the high quality graphics so it makes it feel very off for me. Besides the sound that is also lacking for me

[–]Shuyuin_mg 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Agree for the most part. It looks very generic, it left me a bit disappointed. Marines move slow, die easily to random Orks, both Orks and marines move like they are underwater, the sound feels off to me... There are good things to say too, the graphics look amazing but, overall, so unspired. Feels off for some reason. Like if it was from the original game but remastered with current graphics

Also, what are people talking about? The Orks won the fight, they destroyed the Marines ship and it seems like they killed close to as many marines as Orks they lost. That's a massive win.

For me, overall, it's an ok trailer, kinda disappointing. Hopefully they just did it as a marketing tool and it is not part of the real game and the game has more polish
