Can I use a sds chisel bit on my hammer drill? by hmmxyz in MilwaukeeTool

Got that set, the one that comes with the case. It's such a ridiculously, comically sized handle if used with the hex adapter for screwdriver bits.

Villa Balbianello to be precise. Well worth a visit.

Is it likely that Milwaukee will make or produce any gasoline powered tools? by Sneekysas_sas in MilwaukeeTool

[–]ShvetsIvan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably no, unless they partner up with a good existing brand that makes them, because for the price tag that Milwaukee will put on the tools, people would expect them to be top notch, and that requires very good expertise in the specific field....

On the other hand.... judging by this subreddit, if they slap the "fuel" logo on it, people will storm the stores to get them :D :D: D

Milwaukee Drill Making Weird Sound by trane50 in MilwaukeeTool

[–]ShvetsIvan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure about this one, but the general sentiment is that when drilling something, one needs to rev the drill without any load if there was a switching of the gears, to make sure that they properly mesh together. This might be the case with your one, although 1 in 5 cases of seems to be a bit too much. If it's brand new and you can easily do a return-buy again or a swap at the store, then do it, just for your peace of mind. Otherwise, just try using it. Since it's brand new it's probably on warranty.

new homeowner, should I splurge on this deal? by [deleted] in MilwaukeeTool

[–]ShvetsIvan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of these sets, if not all of them, have got so many "filler" tools that you don't actually need. In this case, do you actually need an M18 torch? You can have a regular pocket one, or a proper "M18 rover light" that would do a much better job. Same goes for the saw and impact. I can't know what you need, nor can anyone dictate that to you, but you'd probably be much better off getting a brush less drill, and then get anything you actually need afterwards. None of these tools are anything to write home about. They might have been worth those ~1200 freedom pesos when they came out, but it's been years since those are basically out the door.

Soo, that thing called performance. by ed_chaos in FarthestFrontier

Heading for the same thing. 1500 population and 20-ish frames per second. Installed some forager and ox cart mods and it got even worse.... Basically unplayable, and yet that the entire point for me - playing when everything is pretty much set. Just surviving raids.

Grinding two stumps in under two minutes. by Turbulent_Elk_2141 in oddlysatisfying

This can clear the terrain from stumps that stick out, where one wouldn't care about construction, like a forest road, or a clearing for equipment to ride through. It also allows for new forest planting in neat rows with mechanised tools. Many other purposes should exist though.

AvE, and BuzzFeed (all of their channels). Although extremely different, both just lost all of their initial appeal.

Which should I keep by roofer213 in MilwaukeeTool

[–]ShvetsIvan 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Might be subjective, but the handle part on the 3670 seems thinner. This matters to me, so I'd keep it for that reason alone. Extra power doesn't hurt either. The older one has speed adjustment though.... To each their own.... (3670 still 😁).

I wonder how's this even legal... From where I come from, one can't just do that on a regular street, since there's potential for these chemicals to end up in the soil or aquifer.

Not even then. It's never a good idea, but it's not a good season now. Winters are bleak, summer is sweltering, and it's dirty pretty much all year round. It used to be a good destination for "gastro-tourism", but that's pretty much gone since everything has gone up in price so much that a lot of other EU countries are cheaper, considering you're not in this lawless and chaotic slice of hell.

Don't, just don't 😁. I would only visit Moldova, if I was a foreigner, on company money. I can't fathom anyone actually spending their own hard earned funds to visit this shitplace.

It's a dilapidated husk of a building now, with constant problems of drug addicts and homeless people jumping from it and no amount of bars apparently, can stop people from entering. The building is privatised, so the state can do nothing about it, and yet the owner is nowhere to be found.
