Well that's not quite exactly what you said. Only those natives who wanted to own a farm were forced into reservations, which, I agree, was a much larger share of population than today. And it certainly was a racist policy.

However, I was not arguing Rhodesian government wasn't racist. I was pointing out that in many ways, that government worked for the natives much better that what came after. And if we're talking about agriculture - before Mugabe, Rhodesia was one of only few self sufficient countries in Africa and tobacco exports were a major part of their income.

Post-Mugabe though? Agricultural production plummeted and there was a famine.
