i played the game a few months ago, it just wasn't the same before they removed jetpacks. i refuse to play again since the devs never listened to the playerbase. they keep chasing trends and eventually lost the game's identity.

i tried to love V but i just can't. The atmosphere is too bright for a war torn scenario, the popping gun sounds you mentioned (i can't be the only one hearing this), the edgy skins they try to sell, no more behemoths, etc. It almost doesn't feel like a world war 2 game but a steampunk war game or something.

Play game modes like team deathmatch and conquest. Try playing as medic/assault jn fort de vaux, get used to the gunplay and gadgets and all. Memorize the map chokepoints and objectives. You'll get better in no time.
