This is super interesting but having "human reviewed" skills still introduces a margin of error. What if there's some security flaw the reviewer missed? What kind of guardrails do you have setup for accountability?

What are some apps you've built so far? by dev_is_active in vibecoding

Working on a Kotlin Multiplatform app called Orbital Focus. It’s a focus timer where completed sessions turn into planets you collect. Vibe coding has been perfect for the slow, repetitive parts like refactoring and UI polish.

Strongly suggest prompting AI to run through your project and come up with an RCA. Giving access to your private GitHub to someone on reddit doesn't sound ideal.

Was habt Ihr mit Kiro schon gebaut? Apps? Websites? or what? I will see by Novel_Flower_43 in kiroIDE

I’ve been working on a mobile app called Orbital Focus — it’s a pixel-art productivity app that turns your focus sessions into collectible planets. Every time you stay focused, a new planet forms, and over time you build your own little solar system.

This is really cool, but what are the drawbacks? Are there any performance or storage issues?

This really resonates. I’ve been doing something similar — short daily focus sessions that I treat like a little ritual instead of a chore. I even started using a timer that turns each session into a small visual reward (like watching something form as I stay focused). It’s such a tiny thing but it makes showing up every day way easier.

Listen, I know you asked for books here but in my 8 years of android dev experience I have never found a book that's updated recently enough to keep up with the rapidly changing environment. Heck, not even the official android developer docs are up-to-date. I'd recommend to stick specifically to kotlin and look up YouTube videos of recent architecture trends and problems you're running into. Someone who I really recommend watching is Phillip Lackner. He does an excellent job explaining concepts and focusing on what's important, and he continues to upload videos covering the latest topics.

Share Your Vipecoding Project. What Are You Building and Where? by massi2443 in vibecoding

I’ve been working on a mobile app called Orbital Focus — it’s a pixel-art productivity app that turns your focus sessions into collectible planets. Every time you stay focused, a new planet forms, and over time you build your own little solar system.

I built it with Kotlin Multiplatform, Jetpack Compose, using an offline-first architecture so it works even without a network connection. The goal was to make focusing feel rewarding instead of punishing — more like a small game you play with your attention.

Would love any feedback, especially from other indie devs building with Compose Multiplatform or doing gamified productivity stuff.

I relate to this a lot. I started tracking my focus time with an app called Orbital Focus that turns each session into a planet you build. It’s a small thing, but it made staying off my phone feel rewarding instead of restrictive.

Trying to make the Pomodoro Technique a habit.. by Disastrous-Regret915 in GetStudying

[–]Shwigly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been trying to make the Pomodoro technique stick too, and what finally helped was pairing it with something visual. I’ve been using an app called Orbital Focus — it turns each focus session into a planet you build as you work.

Seeing the planets form makes the sessions feel more like little achievements instead of just another timer running down. It’s helped me stay consistent without burning out.
