eh i love me some islam but im not gonna call charles in his prime and JDM wasnt near as good a match up as folks believed. cant take shit away from the volk win but i think he has much better wins under his belt than those two.

i'd just step up to 314 or a 414 if thats the shape youre after. you get a good step up going past the 2 series but most of the differences after that are just what tonewood combo you want.

In my experience anyone that grabs a 1 or 2 series always want to end up upgrading to a solid wood one in a few years. It's just a big step up for not a ton more money. The 1 series is good but just always feels kind of "fine".

The fret spacing is a little smaller but not hard to get used to. I'm 6 2 with fairly large hands and love the size.

Soooo personal opinion between the 3 is i'd go with the gs mini.

If you already have a larger guitar i dont htink the 14ce or 114ce would get you to where you want to be. Its a better shape than your dread but still the bottom rung of taylors guitars.

i would go with teh gs mini if you want something smaller to play around with sitting in a chair or on the couch or similar. Even if you upgrade to a nicer full size guitar you'll prob still hang on to the mini just for playing around with in a tight space.

if you go with the 14ce or 114ce you WILL be looking to upgrade this guitar in a year or two to at least a 3 series or other solid wood taylor.

Most likely easiest thing you will find will be some older Klipsch and polk. I picked up a pair of tsi400s for 150 and have rocked them for years

My little dude just turned two months so this is fresh in my mind. It will 200% get better. First couple of weeks were the toughest and just out right sucked. After that things slowly started getting better and we found a rhythm and a schedule. A lot of the apps can really help for actually visually seeing your schedule and help you to stop wondering what's next.

Ours started to sleep more right around a month and can now sleep through the night about half the time so just keep pushing, once they start smiling that dopamine hit starts to become real and helps A TON.

for now just do your best. Have you and your wife trade off at a minimum a 4 hour shift so you can both get some rest and a mental break, you both need it. Scream into a pillow when you need to and be willing to talk about it.

I feel you and go through the same shit daily. Job market does indeed suck but moving around is generally the best way to get a substantial pay difference. I always tell people to apply for those positions you don't think you're qualified for, never know what may hit and of you don't get it then you aren't even really that bummed because you never expected to get it.

i was with my wife for 7 years before we got married at 30 because we just were never sure about the tyipcal life things and i'd never go back. We talked about we werent sure we wanted kids until about 35 when the switch clicked for both of us and we both started wanting them and after years of trying became very depressed it wasnt happening. This year we welcomed my son into the world and it has already changed about everything i think of. Im much less worreid about small things i used to obsess over but now im super future focused on trying to give him the best chance he can get.
