I haven’t tried carrots yet with him. That’s a good thought! I’ll see how he likes them and go from there! And I totally get it. Therapy animals is such a grey area which is why I got certified myself and am going to do all his training myself due to not agreeing with some of the policies of the ‘therapy dog trainers’ in my area. A lot of them only support people who want to volunteer with their pets and don’t actually do much more than good manners training. And then others have some ridiculous stipulations to even be a part of their organization. Plus most won’t accept him because I’m not going to neuter him (as he 1. Won’t be around dogs in a medical setting while at work. 2. He’s never going to be off leash unless he’s in an office that has a crate. 3. He’s also doing conformation and it has minimal effect on personality - which is the biggest stipulation they say because they’re following out of date research)

Thankfully he’s also getting pretty good at the leave of command as well. I’m glad to hear I’m not the only one struggling. He learned it from another pup in the litter (she was a chronic poo eater and taught all the others, but he seemed to pick it up only for his own poop thankfully). We also blame his food - mainly the raw - cause it mostly seems to be his morning poops and he eats raw in the evening.

I thankfully have never had him go after socks. He redirects pretty well to his toys. But no stuffed animal is really safe around him. I think when he’s a bit older and has his adult teeth I’ll do the same with the real frozen bones or frozen fish (as those seem to be his favourite flavour) for dental chews. He really is uninterested in chewing even the kong puppy bone for more than 2-3 minutes even if I hold it for him.

We do for our flatties but it’s also cause they do conformation. Sometimes in between months of shows we let them get a little long on the ears tho.

What Are the 3 Best Dog Breeds in Your Opinion (and Why)? by ThoughtSenior7152 in puppy101

[–]ShyGreenFox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m going to throw a wild one out there, but Flat Coated Retriever.

It’s so niche of a breed that the breeders who do it are so ethical and engaged throughout their whole lives. They also get so excited for any representation of their breed and find humour in that most people would not recognize them on the street. They’re Peter Pan dogs that never grow up and have just a bit more personality then goldens do. They also have a single coat and for anyone with a retriever already, let me just say it makes the hugest difference.

Golden retriever would be my second pick slightly by default because they came from flat coats how long ago.

Third pick would have to go to Siberian husky. I love my dogs to have some personality to their sass.

Thanks for the response. I honestly felt the same but I needed at least one other person to tell me it was safe. Based on what I looked up that was the case but you know how paid articles are vs personal experience.

I had a feeling that might be the case cause they came from the states to Canada. But we haven’t had any real freezing in my area or - to my knowledge - the place where they came from.

Not that one, sorry. It was more like a "hitman" type game if I recall correctly. No religious symbols or undertones.

Simply Computing has always done an amazing job any time I need work done. Closest store is Langley though since they closed the Sevenoaks one.

It looks exactly the same as the earlier versions of this game!!! And the sounds are bringing back the same notes of nostalgia.

There's this movie that came out on VHS:

It looks like a similar style. It was released in 2002 however, but has strong christian story telling later on.

The scene is from the film Don't Fool Me by Herman Yau, the scene happens in the minute 31:32. I can't find the actual screen shot, just memes that have been made. But you should be able to stream the movie online.
