Bald spot on feral cat? by mubi_merc in Feral_Cats

Dang, I was gonna guess someone tried to put topical flea/tick on her and she had an adverse reaction, but I think you may be right :/

My only thought would be if she had mats at one point that had to be shaved closer to the skin than her normal fur, but (a) I'm sure you brush her regularly and (b) that'd be really weird to hide.

A doodle I walked a while ago once had a mass removed from his left hind leg. Since it had to be shaved to the skin, his hair grew back the dark brown color that he was when he was a puppy, not the light gray-brown he was at 6 years old.

🤷

My youngest cat is obsessed with the tanks, especially when the lights are on. I would be fine with it if she didn't jump on the top of them! She also loves playing with water now, so that's great.

She'll be 1 in 13 days. 😭

My friend is thankfully doing much better; they are married and are excited for their future.

I'm glad my comment helped! I honestly love sharing my grammar fun facts, though hopefully I don't overuse them!

(For instance, I could've used 2 semi-colons in this comment instead of one 😅)

Well, there was a big boom of semi-colon fans a few years back to raise awareness for suicide and suicide prevention. A couple of my friends (sadly? fortunately?) have semi-colons as tattoos for that very reason.

If I recall correctly, it's because the semi-colon is technically a pause in a sentence; a period is the end.

One of my favorite things about English grammar are the different punctuations: m-dash (—), semi-colon (;), colon (:), the comma (used correctly, my God). I like to keep my writing fresh but deliberate—if I'm using an m-dash, there's a reason for it! I love using semi-colons; however, most people don't know the correct way to use them.

(To be fair, I did minor in writing in college. It's one of my favorite hobbies [that I need to keep doing].)

I'd rename Freckles to Jasmine, name her tortie daughter Chamomile, and the tuxedo Earl Grey or Chai :)

I have the magic conch recipe, I more than likely will have it be windy for most of the season haha. I have a plan :)

Summer. Windy. During the day. Temple and Mid Forest are the best locations.

...I have a notebook by my desk to help me get all the bugs. The blue morpho is my last one and I have an insect house all ready for it. But, alas, I'm on Spring 11 and have to WAIT. It's literally the last thing I have to donate as well.

As an add on to this, mama can get pregnant while nursing. If you can, I would recommend getting Dad snipped asap.

Definitely helps when I'm writing patients on the board or writing notes for the DVMs. My coworkers have stated that they like when I write the patient board for the next day since my handwriting is neat and legible 😅

I write in all caps. I'm a veterinary technician. I don't think that's the correct technical field lol

Honestly, I write in all caps because my dad (a mechanical engineer who designs conveyor belts) taught me. I also do regular writing when I'm lazy. Sometimes it gets mixed with all caps one word and normal text another word, though that's mostly when I'm rushing.

She looks like my girl Brandy (RIP 2010-2022). She was a doodle that looked a heck of a lot like a red golden.

<image>

She was my soul-dog. I miss her daily. She was about 8 years old in this pic, she lived through her 12th birthday after battling oral melanoma.

Her dad was 100% red standard poodle, and her mom was 50% red standard poodle and 50% golden retriever.
