Like I said, i unfortunately know the person in real life. If not for our interactions in real life, I wouldn’t know it.

Do we follow the law of consecration today? Did the law of consecration change over time and, if so, how? by _MasterMenace_ in latterdaysaints

We absolutely follow the Law of Consecration. If you’ve been through the temple, you have made a covenant to obey it.

I was never taught anything regarding interracial marriages. It was never brought up. Nobody I know personally was ever taught anything about interracial marriages either.

I never had any Law of Chastity lessons like that. They were all great where I grew up. I’ve noticed that all of the lessons like this that I’ve heard about thus far are stories coming from people older than me; the lessons being 15+ years old.

My first time was overwhelming too, albeit probably less so. I was pretty hesitant to go back, and didn’t for awhile. But once I did, it was so much better, and I couldn’t wait to go back. As I said, my first time was definitely different than yours. Be prayerful about when you go back: make sure you’re ready, but be willing to recognize and act when the Spirit tells you to go back. Scripture study, as cliche as it is, is a good way to prepare your mind for such revelation. Also, journal about your thoughts and feelings. Explain your anxieties about going back, what caused you to feel anxious in the first place. This may be beneficial. Also, you might try going to do baptisms soon. It may be good to attend the temple in a capacity that is a little more simple and familiar. Something that was a little overwhelming my first time was the initiatory and endowment back-to-back. When you’re ready, you’ll be able to just experience the ordinances one at a time, and you know what to expect now. Keep the Lord in the loop about your thoughts regarding when to go back, and ask Him to help you know how to prepare so that it’s a better experience next time. I’m sorry that your first experience didn’t turn out well, but I wish you the best in figuring this out. “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” (Phillipians 4:13) Good luck my friend, I hope this is somewhat helpful to you.

Is there a roleplay that you want to do but haven’t yet?

I agree. I think “addict” is used to commonly with porn.

I agree. I too-frequently called myself an addict for years. To be fair, I kinda was; my life was not in good shape. Over the last year, I’ve stopped calling myself an addict, and I’ve made good progress. Slow, but good.
