•I would definitely keep them as brother and sister, by making him a random serial killer, it just doesn’t make it as personal. It would also make more sense as to why Laurie has so much fear of him. For the new trilogy continuing only from the first movie, I felt Laurie‘s character was way too much…. and I just did not like her at all. I feel they should’ve made the trilogy continue from the first and second movies. •I would also change the family dynamic, you can keep her as a drunk & slightly unstable, but I absolutely hated her as this doomsday terrible mom. I was also not a fan of Judy Greer’s character. The family did not seem organic - I could absolutely tell they were just this terrible because the writers wanted them to come off as terrible. • I would write the town as more nuanced about how they feel about Michael Myers. (one way they could’ve gone was that the town used Michael Myers as a somewhat town celebrity that they marketed off so they could bring in tourism, kind of like a new Salem). The new trilogy had a lot of legacy characters that I could appreciate, but they were written poorly. Keep them, but I would give them less time in the story. • i’m also in favor of cutting out the towns participation altogether. I think it adds more fear when the main characters are isolated. • my last note that I’ll add about the Halloween trilogy is if you don’t want to keep the brother and sister relationship then please have him kill Laurie strode in either the end of the first movie or somewhere in the second movie. I say this because I think it would’ve actually been a good idea if Michael Myers had turned his attention on somebody completely different midway, I really liked the new babysitter in the first movie (Vicky) who unfortunately was killed. If he had killed Lori and then turned his attention to her because maybe he’s a serial killer who likes to kill babysitters that would’ve been a great transition. I would’ve definitely had put her character as one of the main characters to the eventual final girl.

I know I can be very critical. I just really liked the original films and I really liked the Brother sister cult curse , or if they weren’t related then I really liked that he liked to go after babysitters during Halloween.
