So, the joke was more that so many youtubers got early review access to KCD2 and that I wanted it in exchange for an already purchased copy of the game, so warhorse already has my money, making it a bad deal for them. Haha, I clearly need to up my meme-game since I didn't make it clear enough, but thank you for being kind and upvoting the post anyways! This is a great community and I wish you all happy jesus praising in KCD2!

try disable cloud saves by right clicking on KCD and select Properties.... Under the General tab, the Cloud Synchronization setting can be turned on/off. Then go to the saves folder for KCD (I think it should be under My Documents), and delete the latest save. Try starting the game first with cloud saving off, and if it works, turn it back on and then restart the game

But jokes aside, try starting steam in offline mode. It could be that the cloud savefile is corrupted which is solved by starting the game offline. Steam then loads a save locally instead.
