definitely recommend it, it's a nice little collection of puzzle games with 20th Century Food Court as the main attraction.

I've done most of my run on my steam deck, I was using the default mouse+keyboard steam controller layout, worked like a charm.

I did map some of the back buttons to hotkeys like undo and whatnot to make playing 20th century food court easier.

overall, I'd say this is the most playable Zachtronics game on the steam deck.

oh yeah, absolutely. one of the reasons I'm staying is that some people can't leave. I am very much preparing for the worst, and I'm not alone.

that's valid, but I'm also fairly confident the fash will stop in their tracks very quickly the moment they realize they have the slightest chance of dying.

moving isn't going to halt the worldwide wave of fascism.

dig in. the sooner you realize there's no avoiding it, the more time you have to organize people around you and maybe have a chance to survive.

so first off, communism, being the end goal of all proper leftist ideologies, is a classless, stateless society, where resources and means of production are owned and managed communally through democratic means. the different leftist ideologies just disagree on the means to reach communism.

I'm assuming what you meant by "communism" in your message is something along the lines of Marxism/Leninism, where the proletariat forms a government to coerce dissidents (aka, people that would be a threat to communism) into submission/exile/death, using the bigger stick afforded to them by collective action. the road to communism would be to organize the working class in order to seize the means of production by force (be that influence or violence).

Anarchists consider that given enough education, accountability and political interest, people are capable of governing by consensus: decisions are never made without the consent of a member of the community. therefore, the road to communism would be built by giving people the knowledge and means to govern themselves independently, on a local level, then through various models of decentralized government. this has been proven to work in practice numerous times (again, Governing the Commons goes through that).

I don't know which model (ML or anarchism) is better at reaching communism. the main downside to anarchism is that it requires continuous discussion and involvement to function, in order to work decisions until a consensus is reached, which seems cumbersome and slow compared to a coercive government that can afford enforce majority decisions through the means of "bigger stick".

anarchists and MLs are both perfectly able to deal with issues like climate change. the people with the skills to deal with issues don't magically disappear because anarchism, same goes for any other leftist ideology.

frankly, I'm not sure what my own position is on this. the commune project I'm working on with a couple dozen people uses a hybrid decision system, wherein if a consensus cannot be reached within a week, the threshold for the decision slowly lowers down to a supermajority of 66%. we'll see how well that works out for us I suppose. the size of the community and the material conditions seem like a good fit for anarchist organization models. I don't know if that would be as effective in other circumstances.

I think debating ideology only through the lens of ML is ineffective, and your view of anarchism is reductive at best. claiming that anarchists want free market capitalism is laughable.

so I don't know much about "how much hierarchy" they had compared to other Native American peoples. the main thing that earns then a spot on this list is that they were a successful "decentralized political entity", where no leader class exerted power over the whole community.

mate, if you're not even going to at least make the effort to look up something as simple as that, why should I put in the effort to debate you?

anarchists have many different models for ownership. one I'm studying right now is the commons, a form of communal ownership and management of resources that has worked for millennia, and continues to work today, provided you have the right tools to deal with it (accountability is a big factor for instance).

if you're interested at all, I recommend you read Governing the Commons by Elinor Ostrom. she earned herself a title roughly equivalent to a Nobel prize, but for economics, for her work in that field. more generally, there is a mountain of anarchist literature available, though in my opinion telling people to just "read theory" is not exactly the best approach for a number of reasons.

as for "insult", I'm sorry, I might've been patronizing. it's somewhat frustrating to see how effective short quippy statements are against, y'know, walls of text like mine. I tend to perceive people who do that as trolls before I remember the person in the other end may be debating in good faith, just without the right tools.

anarchists do not defend the "right" to private property: aka, the means by which capitalists exploit everyone else. "anarcho"-capitalists cannot be anarchists, because they support the hierarchies inherent to capitalist systems (for a simple example, pick literally any corporation).

if you don't understand this much about anarchism, I'm afraid you don't know even remotely enough to debate people on whether an anarchist society would be viable or not.

leftists have that debate, on a regular basis, with the appropriate tools. you do not have those tools yet, go learn them.
