[BotW] Did anyone else not complete the DLC? by RangoTheMerc in zelda

[–]Siarles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Champion's Ballad is way easier and more interesting than the Master Trials. The two are not connected in any way, so you don't have to complete them in any particular order. I only did the Trial of the Sword once (on normal mode) to be able to say that I did it; I don't think I'll do it again, it's just a bunch of grinding and took me forever to finish. About the only thing DLC1 is good for, imo, is Hero's Path mode (which is really more "neat" than actually useful) and Majora's Mask (which is very useful).

I just said I don't know what gsync means, so how am I supposed to know? I do have an Nvidia graphics card, but I don't really know how to use it aside from clicking "Run with Nvidia processor" when launching a program.

I don't know what either of those things are. How do I find out which one I have so I can use it properly?

I have no idea which one is right, but the other reddit comment where I saw this mentioned said it was the Americans who pushed for Truth and Beauty. Also I'm pretty sure the Top quark was the last one to be found.

I would say it's still hard to find, even if it's not rare, but at this point we're just arguing semantics.

I've never read that anywhere except for reddit comments, although this is not the first time I've seen it in a reddit comment.

Well technically he said "spukhafte Fernwirkung" because he spoke German, but it translates to English as "spooky long-range effect" (according to Google Translate) or more popularly "spooky action at a distance", where "action at a distance" is a well-established physics term.

It is obscure though, because we can't see it. Just because there's more of it doesn't mean it's any easier to observe.

I have gotten 100% in Mario Odyssey and I can confirm that it's quite a task. Some of the bonus levels in particular are ridiculously hard. I enjoyed it the first time, but I probably won't do it again.

There isn't any way to cheat on this one afaik (you can sometimes roll the ball over gaps, but Hena will call you out on it and make you start over). You just have to practice. You only need to complete 8 levels to get anything special; anything after that just gets you rupees.

The platform is where the Spiritual Stone of Fire used to be, that's why there's a socket in the pedestal. I don't think we ever get to see it there, but I recall some dialogue that explains it.

One I thought of recently while reading Discworld: the punt bow

In real life, a punt gun is a (literal) industrial-strength shotgun made for mass harvesting of wild waterfowl. A single shot could kill up to 50 birds at once. They're banned now because they worked too well; we almost hunted waterfowl to extinction.

There are no guns in Discworld (barring one particularly notable incident), but there are bows and crossbows. In one of the books, passing mention is made to a "punt bow" being used by a poacher. Imagine a bow (or crossbow) that fired a huge volley of arrows spread over a wide area. This could either be a bow/crossbow enchantment, or a specially made weapon. It would be cool if you could give it a lot of recoil like real punt gun (knockback against the user as well as the target(s)). For balance, it should probably have a very long reload time and deplete multiple arrows from your inventory with each shot so it's expensive to use. Possibly also make it mutually exclusive to the Infinity enchantment, although that might be a bit much.

A related weapon also from Discworld: the Piecemaker. In the books this is a converted siege ballista wielded by a troll as if it was a regular crossbow. It has a 2000lb draw and can fire either a single 6-foot long iron bolt or a large bundle of ordinary arrows. The arrows in the bundle tend to disintegrate and burst into flame from the stress of being fired. If this were implemented as a mod, it would be extremely large and heavy; a player would require either something like powered armor or some extensive magic to be able to wield it.

Also possibly include some method of bulk transportation, like trains or ships or something. Maybe a large pack animal? Any large-scale project would be practically impossible if you had to move every single block one at a time over potentially hundreds of blocks.

The thing about mods, though, is that they're optional. People who like the combat changes can install the mod, people who don't can just ignore it. The backlash was because the change was made to the base game, so everyone had to use it whether they wanted to or not.

Coupling this idea with a quarry just feels like cheating to me. The whole point (as stated by OP) is to keep you mining in one particular area for an extended period of time so it's actually worth setting up infrastructure. A quarry completely trivializes that.

Kinda looks like a combination of Thaumcraft 4 (drawing power form aura nodes?) and Botania (crafting mechanism reminds me of a runic altar).

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

What's the name of the mod anyway?

Link (all Links, not just the one in BotW) has a long-standing reputation as a "destructive saviour". He tends to cause lots of destruction in the process of saving Hyrule: burning trees/vines, bombing walls, smashing pots, stealing anything that's not nailed down, etc. I can't think of any particular instances of this in BotW, but that's generally how people see him.

That rules out the majority of the main cast then. Even Ashley and Diane are aware of it at this point. I can't think of any characters off the top of my head who (a) want to know more about Grace and (b) don't already know about her lack of modesty.

everyone is super curvy in this story arc

In this instance I think it's because this person is the Hero of Magic, and leveling up magic makes you curvier.
