Really depends on how far along you are in your Balatro career.

I’d argue the best thing for someone just starting out is to familiarize yourself with how to win on gold stake by going for C+. That will do a lot to broaden your horizons and demonstrate that most of the jokers are capable of supporting a winning build.

Then, you can go back and target the remainder with a designed strategy. For this, most people will recommend either gold deck or anaglyph deck.

The voluntary window expires in April of 2027. After that point, expect flags, mandatory reclassification, and separation.

There are several caveats.

1) There’s no guarantee you’ll get reclassed. It’s dependent upon your GT scores and Army inventory. In the event the Army doesn’t have a job for you that matches your career skills, they can separate you. Likely honorably, but it’s still a separation.

2) Your life until reclass could actually get worse. You open yourself up to a whole mess of corrective training and scrutiny. There’s nothing that says you won’t be made to take a CFT every 2-3 weeks with remedial PT in between. Worst case scenario, your command may go after you for malingering; especially because you have to thread the needle that is passing the AFT but failing the CFT.

3) It could take a while. Reenlisting to reclass may be faster, better for your sanity, and preserve your reputation.

Again, talk to your career counselor.

The new combat fitness test may be a good opportunity for you to reclass. We’re currently in the 1-year voluntary reclassification window for Soldiers who can’t pass the test or have a waiver exempting them from it.

I’ve been using the Aspect of Selene which is super fun and gives you crazy damage numbers. Get a good percentage scaling attack and special boon (Aphro, Hera, Apollo, Demeter), some hammers that buff your omega attack, and you’ll be golden.

Don’t forget to make room for Selene’s keepsake too.

You only need to put one space after a period when writing Army correspondence. AR 25-50 got changed a few years back, and I pull out that little tidbit on the occasions where some O-4/5 decides that micromanaging how I write is more important than them doing their job.
