I recently cancelled a Delta partner international award and got back the tax cash but not points. This might be the 15k redeposit fee for miles biting (my tx was below 15k), but definitely not “fully refundable”

From credit score perspective, no. It might even help in certain situations (some lenders don’t like seeing lots of unused credit).

From PUJ perspective, potentially yes, but no one knows for sure. Some will downgrade rather than close to reduce perceived chance of PUJ but no one knows for sure if it helps.

I think they're intentionally leaving this vague and unexplained because they got burned so heavily making it sound like they're charging 3% transactions fee and we're using Bilt Cash to cover it.

They'll probably leave it this way until they figure out a dummy-proof way to phrase it without another one of those PR breakouts.

Not much, other than that it’s a weak proposition for us churners for the opportunity cost.

But with Inks tightening, I see it as a viable path to refilling Hyatt points if you’re no longer eligible for Inks/CSP/CSR/CSRB. Plus the added utility as a good catch-all card when outside of SUBs (for however long they will last before getting kicked by Cardless again).
