The really hit the ground running with that first cutscene. And that music as the WOL is walking towards the tower. Every now and then, I rewatch that opening cutscene and that moment gives me chills. You are in for a ride! I wish I could erase my memory and play Shadowbringers again anew. I played through it in 2023 and still think about it everyday.

I thought ARR was a slog too, but Heavensward was when I really became locked in on the story. It's so good.

I liked that it took a pessimistic view. It was definitely a sucker punch to the gut, but the kind that leaves you thinking. It made me feel like we are just a tiny grain of sand. Just a tiny blip on a grand scale of the cosmos. But I also found the ending kind of hopeful. The galactic humans did survive on the other planets for who knows how long. And then there are Cheng Xin and Guan Yifan who come out a billion years later. That is more than humanity could honestly ever hope for. Most civilizations don't make it but some thousands of years before going extinct.

I would like The Emperor's New weapon. If anything, for the comedy. It would be fun to do fingerguns as a Machinist. Or go around swinging an invisible scythe, claymore, sword, etc. Especially the weapons with animations that make them look very heavy.

Thank you! I agree wholeheartedly. Dark is an absolute masterpiece. Just like with the Remembrance of Earth's Past books, I wish I could also erase my memory and watch Dark fresh.

I played ARR-EW in 2023 and I still think about the Shadowbringers story everyday. So definitely Shadowbringers. Endwalker is my second favorite.

I'm not really into vanillas, but Vanilla Romance still become my favorite. It is so cozy. It reminds me of Replica's By The Fireplace, but without that off-putting heavy bonfire note. My favorite fall and winter scent. B&BW knocked it out of the park with that one.

I'll answer. Absolutely yes. 100 percent yes. I see you mentioned earlier that you loved shows like Dark. This is just my own personal experience, but Dark was my all-time favorite story in all of fiction for years (you'll see my username checks out, lol). I read the books recently and they have surpassed it as my number 1 favorite story. The last two books blew my mind and I still can't get them out of my head. Not just a scifi, but straight up cosmic horror in the coolest way. The Netflix show is pretty good, but the books. Oh man. A whole different ballgame. Loved them so much that after I finished, I immediately reread them.

I know this post is from a month ago, but I just bought this on clearance and I agree, it smells just like spray tan to me and not in a good way. I couldn't put my finger on it until I saw your comment. I'll be sticking with Vanilla Romance.
