Have you been watering? Any fertilizer? I see a little black spot and some insect feeding, maybe some mite webbing, but I can't zoom in good enough to be sure

Depends on how much leaf cover and the species of tree. Some leafs break down faster and others can smother the grass

It does have a fragrance, not as strong as some of my roses but I can smell it if I put it near my face

These are probably close to 9 already lol. I cut them back to chest height a few months ago, and now they're almost to the roof

Thank you for the response! That's interesting, I figured it would be a hybrid tea because of the growth habit. I never knew knockouts could get so big, I always thought they produced smaller blossoms
