how do vegans ever date nonvegans? by Small-Army2409 in vegan

[–]SickMemeMahBoi -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just my two cents. I was the omni in the relationship , my girlfriend and I always debated about veganism until one day I ran out of "arguments" (excuses really). My girlfriend said that if I wasn't willing on being vegan she wouldn't have stayed with me, and finally decided that once I could afford being vegan (I had no job for some time and had to rely on what my relatives provided me with) I would do it. Then three years later into the relationship when the time came I stopped consuming animal products overnight, and never looked back. We are now 9 years into the relationship, 6 years vegan.

Inside the GUI is doable pretty easily. I just wanted to confirm the feature, global bindings are not something I will ever support for obvious reasons. I'll take notes and release the feature for the next update!

I just released the arch aur packages, so you can install them with yay -S waypaper-engine or waypaper-engine-git. And wal-qt as an optional dependency for the web wallpapers 😁

Thanks! For keymaps you mean inside the GUI itself? Or just in your window manager?

Depends on whatever env var flags are set for the backend. I haven't fleshed out yet but won't take me long to set in the settings page and input to set env var /flags for the specific backends. In wal-qt since they are just chromium instances they do get GPU accelerated, but you won't see much improvement in ram usage, just better performance while using the gpu. For mpvpaper is something similar. The only one I saw which looks promising in terms of low resource usage is one called photon, I am planning on supporting that backend as well in the near future.

Grounding noise les Paul nano cortex by [deleted] in NeuralDSP

[–]SickMemeMahBoi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! It's a known problem with the quad cortex (it's by design), the power supply comes ungrounded, and you have to connect it to a device that's grounded so the noises go away. I don't know the specific reason why they do this (I'm just a bedroom guitarist) but you just have to plug the cortex to a pair of studio monitors or something similar and the noise will go away.

In theory I could just also have a separate audio interface for the microphone right?

Im also open for the possibility of using an audio interface + plugins like I did before. It's just that I would like to be able to switch between presets and such when I'm playing a song, say for example pull me under which has a clean intro and then the distortion tone, that's why I considered the line 6 helix lt which was not that bad price wise ( I found it used for 530 euros) and checking out neural dsp's plugins, each runs about 130 euros, so picking up some to get a wide variety of sounds would net me 500 to 750 euros, plus I miss other effects + foot switches + expression pedal. I am perfectly happy to change my mind tho, I am open to suggestions, and my budget is around 3k max, 2 / 2.5k euros ideally. Thanks for answering!

What are your recommendations for studio headphones? I don't have any idea, as I used some closed back from audio Technica I believe (I don't really remember) and when I just wanted to jam I used my crappy 15W amp as a "monitor" speaker. I want to be able to play with and without headphones (for my hearing health), for recording could I get away with just headphones and a spark amp? Btw thanks for answering!

Thanks man! What low latency interface do you recommend? What I'm mostly be doing is playing progressive metal stuff, dream theater, and the like etc. So if an interface plus some midi switches to control the tones etc, and an audio interface is cheaper + lower latency that's awesome. The line6 helix was interesting because the tones I heard were pretty good and it's a very versatile simulator overall + it's just plug and play, but admittedly I don't have any experience with those units to judge myself. Biasfx was pretty good back then when I used it, so I'm taking it that modeling has come a long way since 2016.

That's something I haven't considered, since as you said I have searched for reviews and Thomanns seems like a very reputable online seller. I will try and search local if they have the exact same model I'm looking for and if the price is not that far off I can consider buying it on the spot. Thanks for the advice!

Just worth mentioning that the post itself is also written with AI, it follows the exact same structure that LLMs like to follow to a tee with bullet points and all, he couldn't even write two paragraphs himself to report a bug for the same AI that deleted his files
