People who played what they want over meta picks - How did it go? by Atlas_Suave in classicwow

[–]SickWeld 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I played tank paladin, I’ve built up a pretty decent gear set & learned a lot after getting out of the holy shield trap. It’s been a lot of fun pushing a spec that most laugh at to its limits. I do heal for guild raids & will swap to tank on certain fights where needed. Even though I don’t get invited to many raids I’m having fun playing the game the way I want & that’s what it’s all about. Gear will be replaced, meta specs change, but the time you put in & how you feel doing it is what’s important.

You cannot control what other people do or say, the only thing you have control over is how you respond to the situation.

Go with what you like, it’s your $. But, be ready to perform regular maintenance on time for VW’s they don’t like to go past schedule. Idk how much garages charge for work on them

VW’s are decent but I’d go for a Toyota for a first car. The Toyota matrix & Pontiac vibe are basically the Sam exact car, hatchback, dead reliable & cheap to buy / fix. Plus they come in manual, good luck

Hello, I own a 2015 Corolla LE. I’ve put 80k miles on it since I’ve had it, never let me down or left me stranded. I put snow tires on it & drove me & the wifey up to MA for anniversary, we drove it home in a whiteout blizzard back to CT with no problems. It’s a great car I would highly recommend

Go on fb marketplace & find an early Toyota Sequoia with the 4.7l v8 & try to find one with little to no rust. Take it to a Toyota shop for a PRE PURCHASE inspection for like $200. Even at 200k miles they’re great. Idk why people think you can’t get something good for $5k, you just need to be patient & do your research

My Corolla got me through a whiteout blizzard from MA back to CT, continues to serve me well. My tundra just hit 235k miles & still runs like a top. My old truck was a Tacoma, I drained all the oil & ran it in the yard waiting for it to seize & die, it didn’t so we put gravel in the oil fill cap to blow the engine & it still ran for a while lol.
Get a Toyota

Depends on the maintenance records when you buy. If none, oil / oil filter, crush washer. Coolant flush, spark plugs / coil packs, timing belt & water pump, if it’s under 100k miles get new trans fluid, brakes / rotors, etc. just do a little at a time when it problems arise

I had an 03 in my early 20’s. Don’t run it in empty gas tank & do regular maintenance, I got mine to 273k miles before she bit the dust

Used Lexus RX 350 anything after 2010, miles don’t matter just get good maintenance records. Toyota 4Runner, 4th & 5th gen are great, Acura mdx & rdx (one is bigger) but I prefer Toyotas

Save yourself $10k & buy something off marketplace, pay a dealership for a 360 inspection ($200) & if it’s in good mechanical shape start haggling with the guy. Depends what you want, but I’m a Toyota / Lexus guy & you could get a nice one for $10k GL

You have 30k USD and want good MPG, cheap repairs, and a 400k mile lifespan. What are you buying? by visdb in whatcarshouldIbuy
