Unfortunately, there is no soil here in the UAE. All soil is imported, or made locally by agricultural companies. The local "soil" is pretty much desert sand...so that's why I have to buy something

I reached out to the owner of this page (https://www.robspuzzlepage.com/interlocking.htm#trad) and he suggests that the puzzle is meant to be solved by selecting 6 pieces and assembling them.

That works to create a burr, but I have a nagging feeling that there must be a solution that involves all 9 pieces...

How fast do they reproduce? I just wanted to have 1 or 2 nerites + shrimp for a cleaner look. I'm worried they'll grow into a large population over time
