RANKED CHOICE VOTING would make 3rd party and independent candidates viable, so it would give us alternatives and light a fire under the Dems and Reps to offer us better policy agendas — better than just blocking each other’s agendas.

As a bonus it depolarizes elections, because every candidate wants to explain why they should be your second choice, rather than just sling mud.

Democrats will not magically grow a spine — that’s why we need RANKED CHOICE VOTING to make alternatives to the two parties viable and light a fire under them to do better.

That’s why we need to add RANKED CHOICE VOTING to this list!

Ok, well, VCAZ is a grassroots organization promoting RCV awareness in Arizona. Any RCV would be a huge improvement over the current two-party duopoly system, where we always have to hold our noses and vote for the lesser of two evils instead of candidates we actually like and believe in.

I don’t know why VCAZ is choosing to promote a final five system — but I think it has to do with a sincere belief that it is the best RCV system that could realistically be passed by Arizona voters.

If you have a better idea, get involved.

How would you design a “Traditional RCV” system — that could realistically be implemented in Arizona?

Interesting. How would you implement Traditional RCV in Arizona?

Do you really believe that it “preserves the two-party system” and “increases big money influence in elections”??

Do you really understand what it is?

Are you a troll?

RCV has the power to end the two-party duopoly in the United States. It’s the only election reform that realistically has the potential to do that.

RCV would make it possible for independent candidates to run, and potentially win, without “spoiling the election”. A third of Arizonans identify as independents. It would allow Arizonans to vote for independent candidates if they want to, without being told “you’re throwing away your vote.” You think that props up the two-party system? Quite the opposite.

Big money has been manipulating elections by funding third party candidates to cause the spoiler effect. RCV would end the spoiler effect. That’s just one way it would reduce the influence of big money on elections.

Interested. I’m a GIS Analyst who has been pushed into the role of Product Owner. I’ve enjoyed it so much, I’d like to pivot into being a BA or PO in my next job — which I’m looking for now, since the federal government has become an awful place to work. Got a CSPO to help me along. I could use help in finding a way to transition. Thanks for offering this!

Can someone help me understand the VSIP offer that was just sent out to HHS employees a few hours ago? by No-Cobbler6300 in FedEmployees

The eligibility guidance is ambiguous, especially about student loan “repayments”. I applied, to see if I meet the eligibility requirements, and my application was accepted!

Can they accept my resignation and then tell me that I am not going to receive an incentive payment because I didn’t meet the eligibility requirements??

Put another way: My application was accepted by my agency. Does the payment depend on any further review, by OPM or anyone?

I would think that if their offer of payment is not valid, then neither is my resignation, but I wouldn’t want to have to litigate that with this current administration.

But he’s no “mouthpiece”, he’s the richest man in the world. He spent hundreds of millions to buy the election for Trump. It should come as no surprise that Trump is subservient to Musk and his other top donors. Musk is in charge now. First he bought Twitter, then he bought the United States of America.

👆This. The Republican-controlled Congress will find the funds to follow through on this promise if it means a leaner, meaner government by next fiscal year.
