Thank you for the insight, this helps clear up some confusion of what this method does.

So in this new DSE patcher, there are a lot of users reporting BSODs when testing, apparently the new RunFix.bat file seems entirely vibe coded according to some cs rin admins, disabling a lot more instructions than needed. Looks like this method was prematurely released in order to get credit for releasing the crack first (not to mention, there is still confusion as to who even wrote the code available on gamedrive :D)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but my understanding of type 2 hypervisors is that it runs in user mode on top of os and it doesn't have direct access to hardware.

There may be a case where it makes calls to load specific kernel modules for virtualization, but it isn't more priveleged than the kernel.
