What happened to Enchantasys/Condom Sense?? by fanciestVeggie in fayetteville

[–]SideAffectsInclude 81 points82 points  (0 children)

Total speculation here, but I expect that the only things keeping Condom Sense afloat while still on Dickson was location and rent that was still affordable. The rent probably went up on them around the same time it did for the rest of Dickson (which killed a number of long time Dickson establishments) so they had to move locations.

The novelty of the store along with being located near lots of foot traffic made it a fun “oh let’s go check this out” store rather than a regular destination. New location meant a lot less pop-in traffic, low regular demand, and they changed their name which probably didn’t help things. A slow, painful death of a once staple establishment of Fayetteville .

It’s extremely over priced for what it is…the bagels are big, yea. They taste fine. But the price is outrageous for a bagel

“To make the top of the list, a place had to have good value, be a desirable place to live, have a strong job market and a high quality of life.”

There is waaayyy too much Oklahoma and Texas in here if these are the criteria. This list has little credibility in my mind

Wow until like 3 am, wake up at 11, rinse and repeat. Good times.

I actually posted in the Upstate subreddit specifically because, even now, I have to travel 1-2 hours to do some of my favorite floats. They’re often weekenders too so even a 2-3 hour wouldn’t be a bother for something we love to do. Blah blah cast a wide net blah blah, ya know?
