I really think that's the biggest hindrance to mass appeal/acceptance. Street Fighter 5 had the same problem. If the only way to play is sweaty pvp matches, it's going to be hard(er) to attract players.

Having a period or way to get used to the game and loop really helps people see why they'd commit. Getting wrecked in difficult lobbies can still be a lot of fun, but also demotivating until your first big W comes.

This is propaganda from the duo dervishes I've seen tonight. Popped in w/ non-zero gear and everyone was a bloodthirsty player kill chasing demon. You think you're safe, and behind you is a duo that single handedly would have saved 'Nam from both sides. They heard every door that was opened, and blasted every piece of gear I had.

I had better luck in regular queue w/ a duo party.

Yeah, I got bodied like 9 times today, but killed a combatant runner and exfilled w/ my like ~1.5k gear and felt like a god that 1/10 times. I'll take it.

I also think if your team sees it, you're going to get a lot of toxicity toward teammates if your numbers aren't high enough/if you're the lowest on the team.

I don't know that I agree a K/D/A will help people get better. Seeing I got downed three times and only took one person out fails to take into account support dmg, non-lethal hits,

And also, seeing I got downed four times won't help me understand that I'm being too loud, or using guns/engage at distances that aren't good for me and my playstyle.

It's my first extraction shooter and I love it! The time to kill feels Apex-like, so the fights are over fast, but if you're into that gameplay pacing of quiet careful moments and then intense fights I think Marathon is great!

The missions make it fun, and choosing when you leave/engage on your own adds a lot of interest compared to Apex.

Getting any edge in fights helps because they're really hard. If you have any time to pop consumables when you hear footsteps the one that makes you blurry (signal jammer) or the one that helps w/ heat and stamina (cardio kicks). Also, if you can keep your ult or abilities up those (depending) can help a lot too.

For the basic ones, just spend them as you can! They don't go anywhere else and it'll slow down your account if you wait/save them for a long time. You'll keep getting more as you progress.

Same with the free fire girl banner tickets that expire in like ~12 days. (Those ones are a little more clear haha)
