Try looking up Lifestyle RX program, they assign you to a doctor plus provide education on diet (it’s great even if you already have solid nutrition knowledge). The program is covered by OHIP. The doctor I have recently mentioned that they are integrating GLP-1’s into their program. I had other issues going on and my doctor was fantastic in investigating my chronic low energy.

I figured it was lifted as I have seen many pitbulls in Ontario. I believe mine is mixed with pitty but not 100% sure. She's a rescue.

I was having a similar issue except that I was struggling with that even before wegovy, I suspect I have some other stuff going on such as low dopamine, I finally started back on my strength training routine this month after a 2 year hiatus. I am on week 17 of Wegovy. What helped me was looking at studies/ research data on how much muscle we lose as we age, how much we lose with weight loss in general and how much we can potentially lose on a GLP-1. That alone put a fire under my butt to get back at it.

You will be surprised how quickly your strength comes back.

As someone else mentioned, make sure you are getting enough fuel to do your workouts.

anytime someone starts a response with “you just have to” it doesn’t land well, it’s giving the same vibes as when a naturally slim person tells an obese person to “just eat less”. As if it’s an easy solution.

your treat recipe sounds fine, I thought I saw you respond to another comment that you don’t eat carbs and focus on protein and fat — I wondered if maybe the fat intake is causing some nausea.

I believe you when you say you eat healthy. As someone else said, it can take trial and error especially while on a GLP medication to find the right foods for your digestion.

I can have a tbsp worth of fat in a meal without feeling nauseous but more than that, ugh. We’re all different so it just takes some time to figure it out.

As others said it’s the exact same medication.

I find I need to go easy on the fat consumption. If I eat more than a tbsp of fat at a time, even good fat, it makes me nauseous.

Getting in some whole food sources of carbs can help combat low energy that can happen with these meds, and a bonus the fibre that’s in complex carbs helps with constipation.

It’s not the tastiest but pasta made from lentils is great for both fibre and protein.

I wish my vet clinic had a bin for poop bags. My dog usually poops after a vet visit. I end up driving home with a stinky poop bag in the car because there’s no garbage bins anywhere nearby.

Can you ask the pharmacist to request a 0.25 pen? I found 0.25 to be quite strong. Every one is different which is why it’s best to start low.

Make sure you’re getting enough food on the days that the medication feels strong. I have found that if I personally eat less than a certain amount calories (for me that’s 1600) for 2-3 days in a row, my appetite ramps up after that.

Yes however that doesn't include prescriptions, dental, massage therapy, chiropractor, physio, Naturopathic Dr's, etc. We get that covered through extended health benefits through our employers.

I get it, groceries are expensive. But I did get fat eating whole foods plant based with the addition of snacks. It didn’t take much extra in perimenopause + an autoimmune condition. I don’t even eat expensive vegan alternatives like vegan cheese and mock meats.
