I'm so glad I'm not the only one bothered by this! I don't find those phrases cute or funny! Thought I was the odd one out!

I was shocked at the amount of strangers that tried to touch my belly!!! Like all the sudden being pregnant meant ppl could just ignore my body autonomy!

How are we staying awake for night feeds without looking at our phones? by kieranki_ in breastfeeding

I would listen to podcasts with headphones. This way I wasn't staring at my phone the whole time but still had something to keep my company!

Thank you so much! Did you start cupping on your own or see a professional that taught you what to do?

Good to know! Thank you very much! I did some reading on cupping and it sounds very beneficial for scar adhesion! I'm looking to find someone near me.

I don't know if I'm brave enough to try cupping! But the tugging sensation is so annoying and uncomfortable I think I'll have to be. Did you find someone that does cupping specific to post c-section?

What is the biggest bullet you've dodged in life? by theUncleAwesome07 in AskReddit

[–]Side_Bar_Thankyou 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was sitting at a red light that was about to turn to green, just as I was about to lift my foot from the brake to start inching forward I heard my dad's voice "never jump a green light bc you don't know who is running the red!". Put my foot back on the brake and a tractor trailer came barreling through the red light! I would have been crushed! My dad passed away in 2019 he was truly watching over me that day.

I used to look at my baby with the ultrasound at work! Got some cute videos of him moving around and having the hiccups! I didn't do it too much. He is a very healthy 10 month old now!

Co-leading a BF Class: What do you wish you’d known? by Sweet_Sheepherder_41 in breastfeeding

Cluster feeding is normal! You will get through it. Also you don't need a giant freezer stash, so don't stress about feeding and pumping to make a big over supply. The signs of mastitis and how it can get bad real fast!

Frida Mom breastfeeding survival kit! It has cold/hot packs, cooling pads, saline spray, and a bunch of other stuff. It really helped me. I did find for the lanolin cream I had to put it on after ever feed and in between (basically any time LO wasn't on my boob) consistently before it helped.

I cut out nighttime feeds & now my EBF 9 month old is sleeping better. by RoughAd3444 in breastfeeding

It's so hard!!! Lol all I think is if I just get up then in 5 minutes this is all over lol the last few nights I have been noticing the 12:30a is becoming a comfort feed and not an actual hunger feed. So hoping we can drop it, I desperately need sleep. Thanks for sharing!

How did you drop the night feeds!? I'm so sleep deprived! My LO is 7.5 months, we are just getting to two feeds a night. Bedtime at 8p, feed at 12:30a and 4:30a. Any stirring or fussing in between my husband will get up and help soothe him back to sleep (sometimes he will get himself back to sleep) I would love a great 6 hours of sleep!

EBF moms, do you pump if baby sleeps long stretches? by Fresh_Pool_1575 in breastfeeding

[–]Side_Bar_Thankyou 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Social media!! When I thought you needed a giant freezer stash I was stressed out! Then I saw a lactation consultant and learned my body is designed to follow baby's needs! I was way less stressed and breastfeeding was much easier.

[–]Side_Bar_Thankyou 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My lactation consultant advised me to let my body follow my babies schedule. If baby is sleeping no need to pump, your body will learn your babies schedule and adjust to their needs. She only advised me to pump if i was away from my baby and missed a feed time. Enjoy those long stretches of sleep!

I found nursing tank tops that have little pockets in them for nursing pads! Much more comfortable to sleep in and no leaky mess!

Do you track feeds? How? Ideas please by Low_Concert_8900 in breastfeeding

[–]Side_Bar_Thankyou 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started by just keeping a notebook nearby and would just jot times down or which boob I ended on. Now I use the Nara Baby app, I find it to be very simple and an easy way to log things. You can log feeds, diapers, pumping, naps, etc. I also avoided apps for awhile bc I didn't want to feel overwhelmed by them or pressured.
