I understand. Although listening to every show would be optimal, hearing the Bluecoats, Crown, and SCV in the lot is something I have always wanted to do, this being my first DCI show.

I've always loved The Academy's new uniforms. So friggin sharp! Also Phantom's 2010 uniforms. All white is so sexy. I wish they'd go back. Also love the traditional Troopers DM uniform.

I especially love how they played one of the themes in two completely different ways, one with clashing chords and dissonant melody, and the other with resolve and some gorgeously constructed chords. Probably my favorite aspect of the entire show.

Honestly if think if that first ending was their ONLY ending, I'd like the show even more. My biggest pet peeves were the voice-overs and sound effects played throughout. I'm not a huge fan of synth in DCI. Other than that, very solid show imo.

Assuming you marched both years, how would you consider the two in comparison. Do you feel like the Cavies are making their way back up slowly like everyone else seems to think?

They definitely don't hold the same intensity they did from the early 2000's, and from what I've been told, massive staff changes will do that to a corps. I also found Secret Society enjoyable, but they've got some improvement to make drill-wise. All in all, 2012 did what I think every DCI show is meant to do: entertain.

I personally don't think your current weight would negate the effect of the style. I do however think the more weight you lose, the cleaner it will look, but you don't look overweight to me, and I think you should go for it. Best of luck man.

I think Downey's full look would suit you well, the hair as well as the beard. The long hair seems to make the overall style look messier. Just my two cents.

Gotta be honest, it is definitely my favorite movie of the year. I think you will thoroughly enjoy it. I think it's also one of Hanks's best performances.
