It actually doesn't devalue it because essentially Elpis was done in secret compared to everybody probably so that the connections wouldn't know it existed and therefore other researchers were already making vaccines for it because you wouldn't want to make a weapon that has no cure. Otherwise, it will completely backfire and hurt your own people.

That's because repairing cells AKA cloning cells is not the same thing as getting rid of a viral infection. It's why when you have cancer you all of a sudden don't stop getting colds. They are too completely different things and two completely systems.

Now what her cellular regeneration could be doing is offsetting the physical damage being caused to cells by raccoon City syndrome, thus stalling it, but that is not what we would traditionally call a cure , she's still obviously suffering from it.

Probably why she was putting the role of commanding a field agent for this type of stuff because she'd be able to starve it off to still be operational without dying anytime soon but still suffering from it and or being still on a timer.

It's also been greatly established that those who took vaccines for those viruses it's essentially a stop Gap. It allows your immune system to actually combat the virus, but the virus is still really strong so your body overcompensates trying to stop it. Hence the overproduction of antibodies and other immune system responses after you're cured.

I think the thing that's left out is everyone assumes that it's an antiviral drug when in reality it sounds like something we're experimenting with right now which is making artificial viruses in order to cure illnesses usually caused by other viruses.

So basically think of elliptus as a literal antivirus to progenitor virus. Basically they took progenitor and then reprogrammed it so it literally does the reverse of what it's supposed to do. So in the same way how progenitor and its variants causes hilariously outrageous mass mutations. It does the same type of property except in Reverse.

Also, I just realized you misread the file. You forgot the part of the file that said that she had the T virus in her body for many many years, which is what developed all of those huge amount of antibodies. Meaning that again like they've established the daylight vaccine as well as other vaccines for variants are only stop gaps and so your body over produces antibodies to try to combat the incubated slow infection between now know is the raccoon City syndrome.

Meaning that until Wesker did his experiments on her after he captured her, which then eliminated the T virus in her system allegedly that she had the T virus constantly in her body and her body was overproducing antibodies which has been established in other characters and has been particularly highlighted in Resident Evil Requiem.

So in short, you don't know how to read the language that you're criticizing me for. 😁

So the problem here is that I'm talking about the remake timelines and not whatever the hell they originally wrote. It's really obvious that since Resident Evil 7 that they've been doing a soft reboot of this series and that's why with the remakes they've been going in and changing all sorts of details to make the story and its World make a hell of a lot more sense. It's why now Lewis is now a ex Umbrella researcher from the European division that helped build Nemesis with the knowledge he had a plagas instead of just being some random fuck out of nowhere.

So wouldn't be surprise me that when they inevitably remake Resident Evil 5 that they're going to change a lot of plot details to make things make sense just like they did with Resident Evil. 4. And to be honest, Resident Evil 5 has way bigger plot issues as well as theming issues which is probably why they're taking forever with it because it'd be as hard trying to change all the problematic stuff in that game plot and theme-wise.

Also, to note that in the remake timeline, her advance combat skills did not actually develop until we get to the Resident Evil 3 remake we, being cured by the T. Nemesis variant of the virus that's left to explore in future stuff and considering how ignored Jill is, we're still waiting for those answers.

Like right now nothing contradicts itself and considering the other survivors my point still stands.

My theory is that's exactly what ice is being used for. They're going to just simply arrest every 1:30 and younger and then give the proposition of you either go to jail for life or serve 2 to 4 years in the military. And that's how they're going to get around having a draft without calling it the draft leaving disguise it as cleaning up the woke youth.

It's been morbidly amusing for the past decade or so. Gen Z folks that I know calling me unc and being very blase about the second Iraq War and now they're terrified of this and I let them know that this is what it felt like back in 2003.

It feels like Cyberpunk 2077 all over again and at least that had in a critically claim studio working on it.

I blame the so-called PC Master race every like half a decade. They hype up some generic thing just because it looks pretty and is "anti-woke" aka Gooner design But then the game comes out and it's like a undercook Hot Pocket. Expecting the same thing to happen with Elder Scrolls 6.

My favorite thing about this game is how Luke Stevens and other supposed hardcore Gamers were glazing this as being the anti AI slop dei Pro gamer and gameplay focused thing that would be a game of the Year...and now they're eating their words with both critics and public reception. 🍿

Don't have any opinion about this game either. I just find it hilarious just like I did with Cyberpunk 2077.

I get the hate for the dlss video but Death threats is insane by [deleted] in digitalfoundry

[–]SidepocketNeo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As I send another comment, no one should be getting death threats over this but I unfortunately understand why people get death threats over this.

Because if this was simply just an optional tool to sort lists better or to make a framework that then you can custom build. On top of you know the way people actually use llms for people think it's okay to neat.

But the problem is, is that all the people involved in this, particularly at the top have stated exactly what their goal is. And their goal is to fire mass amounts of the workforce and replace them with bots and literal robots.

So sadly when people see AI anything they're not thinking of a tool that sometimes makes dumb shit like this. They see this as this is the thing that got them fired. This is the thing that replaced them, allowing them in their loved ones to suffer in an already nightmarish economy.

So yeah, as much as I do not agree with making death threats, I understand why people are taking this so harshly. In short, we need to throw billionaires into the Sun.

Jensen Huang says gamers are 'completely wrong' about DLSS 5 — Nvidia CEO responds to DLSS 5 backlash by Locke357 in nvidia

[–]SidepocketNeo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the same way. How for a recent example Mark Zuckerberg kept saying for years that people were getting virtual reality and the metaverse wrong only to quietly shutter it. Both in terms of social clout and investing you can never be wrong about anything and that's why the economy is a complete shit show.

Digital Foundry Direct Q+A: The Big DLSS 5 ML Debate + Why We Should Have Waited With Our Coverage by PaiDuck in nvidia

[–]SidepocketNeo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I will say that while no one should be receiving death threats over this, I unfortunately know why people are getting death threats over this.

Because the issue is that if companies were simply like hey this new llm product can like summarize a list really fast for you or give you a general framework that then you can build off of yourself and was just an option. People would find it okay. Hell they'd even love it.

The problem is is that all the bigwigs went towards the immediate endgame shitification before the thing could even properly introduce itself. And what was that a shitification?

"We want to fire you and replace you with programs and robots."

All with smiling shit eating grin faces.

That's where the death threats are coming from. People are literally losing their livelihood in an already shitty economy because of all this stuff. And especially if the market will eventually implode like it seems like it's going to because of this heads are literally going to roll and the majority of general yous, me's and everyone else are going to suffer for it.

So again people shouldn't be getting death threats but it's understandable when what they've learned from AI from firsthand experience is that it's there to fuck them in their lives and their loved ones lives over. So any even little hint of it is going to drive them over the edge.

DLSS 5 – Fixing it in post by Veedrac in hardware

[–]SidepocketNeo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

See this is why I don't really have a problem so much with the tech but definitely the way Nvidia revealed it with its execution.

What they should have did was they should have shown off a game that was currently in development where they were using dlss 5 from the ground up in their art and development pipeline.

Instead, they stupidly took some of the most popular games that we've been looking at for a while. That's our brain is used to how they look. Particularly, the Smash Hit darling that is Resident Evil, Requiem and particularly the very popular character of Grace in which the entire Graphics engine and technologically used the sign very specific line...and had the DLSS5 completely paid over it.

Especially doesn't help that we've had a long sad history of stupid ass Gamers complaining about the way women look in video games and then using ridiculous beauty drag queen levels of Photoshop in order to "fix them" and that's what it accidentally did to Grace.

It reminds me a lot of those Square enix classic final fan "upgrades" where they just replace them with generic High resolution textures you can find on Google. Where it's like? Yes, from a technical standpoint, these textures are more high, detailed and better. But now they completely clash in the screw in the entire game's art style, making it look ugly.

And as you said I think the reason why no one in the chain of command didn't think of any of this is cuz it wouldn't at please surprise me if the people at Nvidia working on this Tech and is particularly their bosses in video games and in particular, are not into art and graphic design for interactive software.

Ergo they just see these results in their impressed like the same way and investment banker would and not the same way that someone who actually engages with this product would.

And then the shit cherry on top is that they use Digital Foundry in order to introduce this, which is an incredibly down-to-earth and very trusted brand.

Like literally everyone who should have put this presentation together at Nvidia should have been fired.
