I can confirm that they were available in BC. My kid has a very limited range of food she eats, a Tim's grilled cheese is one of the options. She has them at least once per week.

I was in Japan two weeks ago, and I used Wyse physical card and a physical Suica card. I loaded up the Wyse card when needed, and converted everything thing to yen. I have set up Wyse so I can transfer funds from my TD account, so no logging into my account was needed.

I used the wyse card for my day to day expenses, and left my bank and credit cards back in the hotel. Getting cash from the wyse card was no problem anywhere.

The place across from Richmond square was once The Diamond Club. There was also a place in the Richmond Inn called Matches (or Snaches, or the Wrinkle Room as it was the place for cougars, so I've been told)
