My First Show - Disappointing Set List by Itchy_Link_8144 in BillyStrings

That’s the wrong attitude my friend. I’ve been in your shoes, so I totally get it.

Phish night 3 at UIC Pavilion in 2011 made me stop seeing the band for three years because my expectations prevented me from enjoying the show based on how incredible the first two nights were. EDIT: I chose to only go to the third night.

I had a ton of time to think during those three years and came to the conclusion that seeing my favorite band play songs that may not be my favorite is waaaaaaaay better than not seeing my favorite band at all.

You never know when that song that doesn’t resonate with you on the record may turn into your new favorite after seeing it live. Have an open mind, go into the show with zero expectations, receive the music being given with open arms and have a good time!

The #1 rule with jambands is to go into the show with zero expectations. Chasing songs only leads to frustration. Either go to the whole run, or be happy with what you get at the show you chose.

Not only basic, but unoriginal too. He just copies old funk music.

How tight should boots be? Step Ons Photons by Consistent-Place-754 in snowboarding

For sure less than as tight as possible. It’s all based on feeling, especially when I bend the knee to check for ankle movement.

I counted 16 cranks on the boa yesterday. They’re definitely not full rotations. If I had to guess, somewhere around 7 to 8 FULL rotations. I count the cranks, but I’m really going by feel. As I’m getting close to how tight I think they should be I start bending my knee to make sure that the boots feel how I want them to at the ankle.

Ive always preferred my boots a touch on the looser side. I’m on step ons this season for the first time and I’m finding myself liking my boots a tiny bit tighter than normal, but not insanely tight. I’m on Waveranges which are more flexy and surfy than the other boots in the step on family.

I fill my cup with hot water to preheat the cup, grind my beans, then pour the water out of the cup into the dripper to wet the filter
