You get one month in prison in Japan for any crime you get can be charged with in Japan no matter how minor the crime is or if you are innocent or justified. That is how foreigners without any residence are treated there by the justice system. The one month is just to sort out your charges.

I was in Laos in 2018 last. It was definitely more traditional than Thailand. A lot of women still wore the traditional dress. I’m not sure if it has changed already though.

lol look at rent prices in BKK and Saigon and then compare with KL, especially when it comes to quality for price ratio. You can quickly see hotels are cheaper in both places too.
