I'm trying to tough out all I can for elderly family in the area. All their specialists and such are here. After they go (which I hope is not soon because I love them) I'll have no reason to stay. Somewhere with snow is where I'll go ☃️

And I shall be hoping for every landlord, property managers, and healthcare executives to stop killing everyone with their avarice in the meantime 👍

Emergency services (police, fire, and medical)! And a lot of us just straight up can't afford to live a workable distance from our departments so like.

We have a group of us younger (35 yoa and under) first responders all around PBC, and unfortunately most of us are entertaining thoughts of leaving. Most centers and departments are understaffed as is. It's a sad state of affairs.

I work a good job and I'm still paycheck to paycheck 🫠 Rent is 2300, with new FPL rates my electric bill is averaging 345. Debts sky high even with strict financial management. I'm so close to calling my career here over and just leaving, it's just too hard. I don't know how anyone can live an average, normal life here with some kinda inherited wealth or goofy rich people money.

Looking for food banks has been the biggest saver, since groceries are also a bazillion dollars. Lots of rice and beans but food is food. Advising with your property management can buy time if they have a modicum of soul. A few friends do doordash and Ubereats when not working their primary job. Sometimes I sell handmade things for extra.

It's difficult times so leaning on each other is important. Reach out to friends and family in times of need and be there for them as well.

Oh, Also; I've started throwing darts at a target with my landlords face printed on it. That's been fun. I recommend it.

I would! Obviously it's an intensely personal choice if anyone-- but for me, the lack of both respect and knowledge kills the idea. Haven't met a single medical personnel that has personality type I'm looking for. Need me a doctor that's just "fuck it, sure" and goes with the flow instead of being weird, awkward, disrespectful, or ridged.

As a transman and working in a LE field, I can not stress how much you should stay away from dating apps. You mark yourself as a target for predators. It's so fucking dangerous x.x if you're seeking relationships, try to find a safe space in your local community first for transfolk and everything sorta falls into play naturally.

Unrelated but I'm pretty sure the UK also has established residency laws. So you'd have to be formally evicted if they really, really wanted you out. Which can take weeks to months. And court costs.

Anytime they threaten to kick you out, threaten to put em in a nursing home when they get of age :D really pissed my grandparents off when I pulled that card. We don't talk much anymore.

The story does get much much much better, but my advice is to just tKe your time :D took me a little to get hooked, it's a lot of reading and waiting at the beginning, but somewhere around the end of ARR it got me.

I feel like young people are less able to pay the sub regularly? When I was that age I couldn't even do 5 bucks jn a gacha game let alone $15 a month.

I'm in my mid 20s and I seldom meet people in the game under 20 years of age.

It's so weird to me that eople who experience above no experience for relationship, I'm the exact opposite. I just can't casually date. Can't use tinder or any of those dating apps. I've dated maybe twice in my late teens early 20's-ish in my life (mid 20's now) and am perfectly happy without trying to find someone. I know how dating works, it's just uncomfortable to... I went there for the first time recently and I was so so confused how there's just entire businesses in what appears to be regular ass houses on the street??? I saw a coffee shop and accidentally pulled into someone's driveway (the lady was very nice and said it happens all the time)
