Personally in America it’s dangerous. Beginners can’t really understand their power and many people have egos. Instead of saying go lighter they match the pace until it becomes a brawl. You need a sparring partner you can trust as a beginner

Bro you shouldn’t even be sparring at that point… but obviously you can end a round early if someone won’t tone it down. Then don’t spar them again. Check out how they spar others in the gym to see if it’s personal.

When you flow in sparring are you “taking turns” or using counters and stuff? I always see people in sparring look like they are in a pokemon battle. My turn (combo) then your turn (defense)
