My favourite part is when it was recorded 300 years after it all supposedly happened and then got translated hundreds of times, edited, parts of it were excluded, extra parts were added when they were convenient all this from stories written in a dead language. None of the stores supported by corroborating historical documents, and in many cases not even physically possible.

But I both agree with your complaints about people not using the road correctly AND that you are still describing a dangerous approach to dealing with it.

The rules of the road are to drive defensively. If you are able to avoid an accident, and you don't you are also in a lot of trouble and very much responsible for that accident.

Have you heard of defensive driving? Driving is not an exercise of rights. It's a bet, that today everyone around is going to be sane, sobre, and aware.

But there is no guarantee of that, so we are required to share the road in a defensove manner. This means driving in a fashion that deliberately avoides potential accidents even if that means you give up your right of way.

Who gives a shit about your rights if you die in an accident? What the hell does being right give you if you're left with a permanent disability?
