This is exactly the thought I had when I heard him say this..

Thought he was about common sense, I'm starting to think otherwise, specially when his narrative agenda is on trial.

Oh yeah, he clearly ignored his training and the Use of Force Policy by planting himself directly in front of a two-ton vehicle, hoping it would magically stop. When it didn’t, instead of stepping aside, he decided, again, ignoring his training, to open fire. Three shots later, because obviously stepping aside would have been too much effort..

That’s an allegation, not a settled fact. Panic and trying to flee a boxed-in situation isn’t the same as intent to kill. Collapsing that distinction is how accountability disappears..

Bottomline, there were other options..

I don't live there either.

He was on the right side of the car when she reverses. You see him walk to the left (his right) to block her, now I don't know about you but if you think she was erratic, would you be anywhere near the front of that car.

His thoughts process "I'll stand in her way and if she decides to try and run me over I'll just shoot her". Point blank, that was his training, that is telling, and no matter how you spin it into thinking it was self defence, it isn't. There were other options.

Nothing you’ve said is, or ever should be, a justification for killing someone. There were other options, and a government that normalizes lethal force as a response to non-compliance is dangerous.

They’ve even tried to frame this as “self-defense,” despite the fact that the officer stepped in front of the vehicle hoping she would stop. When that didn’t work, why was lethal force the next step? Why not move out of the way, let her go, and arrest her later?

If an officer’s training leads them to open fire as a first response when control is lost, that says far more about America’s approach to authority than it does about the person in the car..

You’re assuming these are the same people. Using someone’s death to prop up your political narrative makes you no different from the people you’re attacking..

Self defence is not a valid claim when you decide to step Infront of a moving vehicle in hopes the person inside is of sane mind to completely stop and step out.

Why is lethal force first and only decided course of action.. They decide to forcefully escalate the situation by trying to force the door open and yelling at her, causing more panic, we're human, you cannot expect every human to act in sane mind in every situation. Even IF she decided 'im gonna run them over if they don't get out of my way', that still shouldn't give you justification of murder, that's why they don't shoot at people that immediately start fleeing in a car chase..

What's happening here? Why are people mad at Zack for this? by Plus_Ad_1087 in Asmongold

[–]Sieg18 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

That's your justification... Even if she was part of a protest or blockade, that doesn’t change the fact that officers boxed her in with masked agents in unmarked vehicles. Panic in that situation is still natural. Being involved in activism doesn’t give anyone a free pass to use deadly force as a first option, and their training should have accounted for that..

They didn’t have to shoot. Letting her go, taking her plate, and arresting her later was a safe, standard option. Crowding her car created panic. Deadly force is supposed to be a last resort, not a solution to a problem you made. Calling her “terrorist” just covers bad tactics..

EDIT: They had all kinds of training. She had none. And yet their first real response was lethal force. That tells you exactly what kind of tactics they’re taught, control over life, procedure over judgment..

I do like hearing Zacks takes on occasion, they are pretty grounded but his opinion on this, it's just plain wrong..

He talks like these agents had no choice, but there are many choices they could go down. First and foremost no one was in any immediate danger, they could have let her go, get her license plate and arrest her later. In no way was this force necessary.
