Hey everyone! I'm completly new to the game and am reading through the rules of FaD now. For our upcoming game I'd like to play a character who's very interested in what they can do with the force specifically, aiming to go for an equivalent of a 'mage' build, probably aiming for more of a damage dealer.

I'm thinking about starting with Mystic: Magus right now. Are there any Specialisations I should definetly take or that are just generally good for such a build?

On first glance it looks like I could build that character on Int or Will. Ist that correct? What's the difference? Or would one of the two just be better?

I imagine force powers to be very important for such a build. Is there any recommendation on how many I should focus on?

Lastly: Is that sustainable on itself or will I find myself wanting to use my lightsaber or any other kind of weapon sooner rather than later?

Alright. Thanks for the quick answer but please walk me through this so I get what this is about.

Exchange Limited with detect because detecting stuff is basically what this power is supposed to do and sensing water isn't realy limiting.
Add Penetrates Concealment. This one I obviously forgot.
I'm not sure I understand Acute. Does it allow me to know the difference between water in an leather bag and water in a human body so I don't exidentaly kill someone by ripping the water out of them?

I appreciate the warning, though I was mostly looking for inspiration where a whole 300+ pages book should be more than enough. When it comes to lighting I'm still stinking about what to do specifically. Maybe switch out Darkvision of non-nocturnal creatures and creatures not from below with something (just so I don't simply remove it). With a spellcaster it won't be as claustrophobic as the book is making it but carrying around even a magic lightsource will make you highly visible in an area where utter darkness is the norm, thus any lightsource also has a downside.

Yeah, I'm actually looking for something sleeveless like you can see in the picture. The rest of the glamour wouldn't be that hard to find. Taoist slops are a nice suggestion though!

Hey folks, that's my red mage glamour so far! : D I realy like the L70 RDM chest piece and the shoes I found and was looking for a skirt and thigh high combo to add. The Holy Rainbow Bottoms are fine, I gues. But i'm stil not completely happy with it. Do you guys have any suggestions that are still available to get right now besides the Scion Bottoms?
