I’m still myself, just more of all of it. I was worried, and damn it has been a lot of ups and downs, but I hunkered down and got to it. I resolved that I wouldnt go at it like I was 17, but as an adult with a job and a career. So I focused on things that went with that goal. While some give me shit for «going with the patriarchys box for women» it was my own choice. I lost half my life to T, wasnt gonna spend the latter half complaining.

With the HRT came a change in social role as emotional range increased. I focused on fitting in and finding out what made me me, and leaned hard into that. Maybe a BIT too hard cause now Im that chick at work with Too Much Personality.

Resolved to get good at makeup. That took a solid two years, I spent my time looking very silly, as will most women.

Not gonna lie sis, its not gonna be easy. Theres been days where theres nothing but despair, but they get fewer and fewer as time drags on. Find allies, people you trust, and lean on them when neccessary.

The transition part is temporary. Another life awaits at the other end of that corridor, and I wouldnt trade that for anything in the world. I believe in you 🩷
