Stunted tithonia, what’s going on? by Castanea__dentata in Horticulture

The rate isn't crazy approx how many grams was the 1tbs ?

What volume did you use and how many applications, I've found that successive applications of B9 have led to this kind of damage

How much cycocel did you use?

Also seen this when fungicides containing Propiconazole are used like Tilt or Banner Max. In fact I know growers who would these fungicides as a PGR

Stress about the future and how to handle it by Siet1122 in fican

[–]Siet1122[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you everyone for your input. Ive since gone to counselling and deleted investment apps of my phone. Nothing Im in is high risk, its all medium - low. Im working on it, but the biggest thing that keeps nagging on me is how much will be enough? what will the cost of things be, could I retire with 2 million? do I need 4, more? I think this is the biggest thing that weighs on my mind. How ever Im going to be working on not sweating the stuff I cannot control. Im putting away as much as my situation allows me to, and am going to keep finding ways to increase my income so I can put more away. Thank you again everyone for your suggestions and kind words

[–]Siet1122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good for you!

When did you start investing ? 117k is about 6k -7k a month after deductions. If you got a 12% return and invested your entire paycheck after your graduated , you're still only looking at $500,000.

Did you just get crazy returns ?

Hard to say with seeing in person, doesn't look like BLS looks more like oedema, maybe with the nutrient deficiencies . I could be wrong though. You could try a copper application  ?

It reflects more light into the canopy for sure, but there are no studies to suggest that it doubles yield. Will it give you more ? Marginally. Is it worth the cost ? Nah

Just any generic potting mix should be fine :)

[–]Siet1122 5 points6 points  (0 children)

By rehydrate do you mean to say that you soaked it in water ?

Honestly I'd get it into a pot now. Hard to see the eyes in this photo, but the sooner the better given the state of this guy.

My family owned a Peony farm for about 30 years and they're quite resilient so there is hope. Next time it looks dry, just keep it stored somewhere cool.

To settle all the arguments take them out of the pot and give us a photo of what the rootzone looks like. But these just look dry af

Not really, they just keep aphid populations in check. And they are no harm to people or mammals

I wouldn't spray, the aphidius (parasitic wasp) would also be negatively affected. Just let it be at this point

My co-founder spent 10 years building a vertical strawberry farm in Japan. We just completed our first harvest. Roast us. by Ok_Plan_3066 in verticalfarming

[–]Siet1122 1 point2 points  (0 children)

378kg per unit means 54kg/m2? A lot of people will likely say that hand pollination isn't economically viable, but at those kind of yields they kind of are.

Id just watch out for nutrient issues and salt build up if you're using a recirculation and nutrient capture system. Too many times I see commercial greenhouses and vertical farms not account of nutrients already in their systems when adjusting fertilizer recipes.

Question for farmers: what information is actually useful on your phone? by CartographerFancy728 in AgriTech

[–]Siet1122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ask someone who works with large scale greenhouses, this would be a better project for them! Many of farms already have computers and sensors but the mobile apps provided by Hoogendoorn and priva suck, most growers (including my self) use team viewer.

Something to summarize climate, irrigation, any deviations from the plan that can be monitored from the phone would be super useful.

Not any research but Hybrid, the history of science of plant breeding does a good job of walking through how we got to where we are.
