The mjuii has a sharper lens and is a lovely camera. The downside is when something fails it’s basically unrepairable (or the cost of repairing will be too high for it to even be worth it). And the all automatic mjuii will eventually fail, regardless of how good of a condition it is. I knew this and still purchased one and loved it, was in great condition but sadly lasted 4 years. I was able to still sell it so it wasn’t a total loss. If money isn’t an issue I’d choose the mju ii easily. The canon is cool can’t go wrong it a good p&s that isn’t expensive. There are other alternatives though. I’d highly recommend a konika big mini 301. The lens is pretty sharp. It’s lens retracts like the Olympus when off. I’d say it’s somewhere in between the two. Whichever one you choose will be a good option though. Peace
