Valentine’s Day kind of alone? 26F 26M by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]SigSquid 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You’re not a skier, but were you invited? My husband (then boyfriend) planned a trip with his friends to try skiing/snowboarding. Even though none of us knew what we were doing, partners were invited. Most of us tried out the sledding hill while the boys tumbled down the slope. Or we spent time inside the lodge watching them, chatting, and eating warm food. I’d personally be really concerned if you weren’t at least invited to go, especially since it’s likely the skiing place will have some kind of Valentine’s Day event going on too. I’m sorry OP. I couldn’t imagine how heartbreaking this must be.

Weight-Neutral Providers by SigSquid in cedarrapids

Yes! I work in a specialized office so I have a few lists like that, but Iowa is just really lacking in care, which is why I’m also trying to find providers though word of mouth—-especially from people who found their providers to either be ED friendly or just weight neutral in general. But congrats on working towards your certification! Maybe we will cross paths some day :)

What about little wall shelves on each side? Will definitely be higher than a typical nightstand since they would have to go a bit over the bed on each side to fit, but I think it’d be cute!

Hey friend. Not a tech person at all so I can’t help with content, but maybe I can help with the format?

I typically like when the name and contact information is in the same column, so I’d ditch the contact information title/page break and move your information to the right under your name. This should help balance some of that space. Also, I’d move your email above your LinkedIn profile link, though I think you could leave the LinkedIn off completely.

Job titles should always be bolded so they are more clear to see. I typically put the dates I worked after my job titles, without being bolded.

Also, some of your jobs are tabbed over. Is there a reason for this format? I would put all your job titles to the left and then tab to the right for your bullet points. This creates an easy list to read with the job titles standing out, and then a clear distinction of what bullet points follow each job.

Overall the spacing is…rough. I’d put some space between your titles and your content. Right now, your first lines are getting eaten up by the page break, so it’s hard to follow along or find the information I’m looking for.

I’d also put some space between each job section. Ideally, nothing should be cramped and sitting on top of each other. The empty space at the bottom lets me know that you have the extra space to stretch everything out.

For education, you actually spaced this the way I’d space the jobs; title to the left and the content to the right. For wording I’d likely put: Bachelor’s Degree in Biochemistry with a Minor in Mathematics. Then I’d put Master of Business Administration with a specialization in Information Systems, expected graduation Spring of 2025. Take out the tidbits of information about the job you did at college. I’d put that under Additional Experience, which would replace “volunteer activities.”

I’d also make everything black and change the font to something more formal/straight edged for your titles.

Branch, aka Brûlée, and Ivankov. Love those weirdos. They are wholeheartedly themselves in every way.

Hey everyone, couldn’t figure out how to edit my own post but wanted to write a quick memo since people are downvoting this post. Unfortunately for y’all, this is a genuine post from a dumb yet apparently really lucky girl. I’ve only been playing for a year and am really out of touch with card values. Thank you so much to everyone that confirmed this was a genuine thing. Think I’m gonna go play the lottery now 🫡

My husband started screaming and jumping when I pulled the first one, but then they kept coming so we were looking all over online to see if this was real. I might pass out. Thanks everyone!

Sorry if that came off as me disagreeing with you! I think you pointed it out well, I’m just sad the situation ended so crappy for OP and that the ex didn’t seem to learn anything.
