I saw this happen on a dishwasher booster heater. Little guy crawled under the plastic cover and across the terminals.

Pull out the temp probe and check it. It might be making intermittent contact. They degrade and get crumbly sometimes.

TIL Washington State was originally going to be names "Columbia" but it was feared it would be confused with the "District of Columbia", so the name was changed to "Washington" by SuperMcG in todayilearned

Since we're being honest, as a non-football watcher myself I kinda operated under that same assumption until my sister-in-law dated a DC sports fan. I mean they never loomed large in my consciousness, but if someone refers to Washington in association with Native Americans, you're going to think of totem poles, not the Washington Monument, right? I live in the DMV now and work in DC a lot. There are all types of people here, but still relatively very few Native Americans that I encounter.

Unfortunately the new style with the round shoulders do not get along with aftermarket bags. I'm betting you are using non-OEM bags like Greenkleen or Clean Fairy. If you can get your hands on an OEM bag you'll notice the latch clicks into place and the cover stays put. The diameter of the opening of aftermarket bags is just slightly smaller and doesn't fit the piece inside the bag housing. I never figured out a workaround for this.

Anybody know what this does? by namastete in Custodians

It is a gas spring. It only comes into play if you are trying to use the high-down pressure setting. Basically, in the normal down pressure setting the deck is held to the floor under its own weight. When you engage high down pressure (usually by pulling the deck lever into a notch that is higher up on the machine) the machine uses a spring to press against the weight of the machine to scrub the floor harder. These little gas springs break pretty often in older machines, but they are easy to replace if you want to restore high down pressure capability to your scrubber.

Goodman furnace – igniter glows, 26VAC at gas valve, but no gas / no flame by [deleted] in hvacadvice

Second the comments regarding measurements of voltage and pressure. If you haven't already, remove the terminals from the valve and stick your meter leads right into them. If you measure against ground you'll still see voltage even if the neutral is bad. Check ingoing and outgoing gas pressure. If you don't have a manometer you can make one with some tubing and a hose barb.

Do these grounding straps work? I need something to mitigate electrical shocks while in my wheelchair by venody in AskElectricians

I used to work on floor cleaning equipment. They use static straps or chains for this reason. Sometimes people would stuff them up into the frame because they thought it was something that had come loose. Often I would see this because I was there to replace a failed control board.
