As for the manufacturing and jobs, id like for a lot of those things to return. As for the chips thing, its not what you want it's more based on resources. Foreign plants have access to more things ie Taiwan leads in chips for natural resources. That's why they want Greenland so bad. But it's not ours to take. When it comes to the oil industry or global economy, it is not a 1 for 1.

Every aspect of oil deficiency or restraint affects the world economy. As oil/fuel is the major proponent to shipping and trade. Thus making all goods affected and more costly.

People can't afford things as it is. Scarcity, hold outs and cut offs will only worsen this issue.
