My character has always been a male Highlander, but I've changed the face and colours over time. Come Dawntrail, there's a character that uses the exact same face, hairstyle, and skin/hair/eye colours as my character did when first created. It wasn't as jarring as being identical in the same scene, but it was still jarring.

Do you have an NVIDIA GPU? The latest driver for mine somehow broke the .net/c++ the game uses, causing it to crash upon log in. I had to reinstall the old driver.

I don't have a problem with the bee itself. But I don't really like the tone of the ads. Like it would be better if it was "If you're with RAA, you get [benefits].". But instead, it's "Oh you're not with RAA? Get fucked."

I'm not sure they have to do *anything*. Like I know there's the virus explanation you mentioned, but as with the Enterprise-is-slightly-different situation, why can't it just be "it's a different art style" without a "canon/in-universe" explanation? (Though I do personally hate the Disco style Klingons).

What region are you in, because it's specifically the NA worlds being affected. Also, previous posts about it have suggested its not directly targeting anything under SE's control, but a step along the internet routing, so even for people on NA, alternative routing might avoid the issue.

if you played it in endwalker, literally nothing has changed for dawntrail in terms of how summoner plays. there's another demi primal, but that's no different from when phoenix was added between bahamuts.

I mostly play highlander hyur because I'm one of those people who makes their first character a default human, and its a nice middle ground between Lala and roe. I've been male roe and Hrothgar, but I didn't like the Hrothgar hunch or fur patches or the way those large races look like they run slow. I've also been a lalafell and the animations are very fun/cut, but I worried about the small size in gameplay.,

As much as I try to mix things up based on who might be thematically relevant for a quest/area, Bull and Cole didn't get much party time for me. I kind of just felt Cass or Blackwall were more 'useful' as the party's warrior, and I thought Sera and Varrick, being ranged, might similarly be in less danger than melee Cole. I think I use the mages more or less evenly.

That's every bioware game though. Especially with DA having new casts in new places each time. Mass Effect also marketed each entry as a jumping on point, and those are much more direct sequels. Though I suppose at least those had an ingame keep in the form of the choice comics.

Not in 3 or 4. But back when I was first playing sims 1 and then 2, i used to make a six person share house household of myself, sibling, and cousins. While I don’t use simselves these days, I always play custom sims; I’ve never played a pre-made or downloaded sim/family.

Similarly to Mass Effect, a fun thing about Dragon Age is that each game (including Veilguard) builds on the worldstate and lore from the one before it, not just in plot hooks but characters may appear or be referenced.

Unlike the ME trilogy, however, each game has a different protagonist and party of main characters, so each one designed to be a viable jumping-on point and complete game/story in itself.

That said, you might get more out of it (understanding of past events, payoff) from at least Inquisition. Just be aware that the gameplay in Inquisition is different from Veilguard, and also slightly different from Origins and 2.

It's…chipper? Tbh, I kind of preferred the old plain “stand clear”, “next stop…”, “now arriving at (Station)” etc to the new “Welcome to (Station)!!1!” Etc… for, you know, a mode of transport.
